A Must Read for Those Who Beg to Differ on Hitler's Alleged Suicide
Such details and answering my most desired question, 'How could Hitler have flown out of Germany'? The last piece of the puzzle was absolutely amazing and believable because Hitler's people were very smart who could devise such an ingenious plan. Alternate history lovers or truth seekers must read this as the author Peter David Orr has provided such details through years of hard research. One has to appreciate the writer's hard work and passion. There are hundreds of anecdotes to go through.Toward the end, the book gives a detail interview with the eyewitness, an American POW named Aubrey M Temples who saw Hitler in Nussdorf, a very small town getting off right in front of him, from a heavily guarded Black Mercedes (with two other vehicles with armed guards) and flying out on a small plane escorted by two others. I've read Aubrey's book, 'Seeing Hitler' before I read Peter's book. So, the interview portion was a treat for me.It is a heavy reading due to all those testimonies back and forth, yet, I binged-read it. I'm pleased to find some in-depth reviews on the book already. So, I'll stop right here. This book definitely deserved my heartfelt recognition.

There is a lot of information in this book.
In this book the author reports a great deal of information about higher up Nazis at the end of the war. There has previously been speculation that Hitler escaped Germany at the war's end and the author relies heavily on the report of American POW Aubrey Temples who reported seeing Hitler drive through the town where he was located and fly out in a small utility type aircraft, the "Storch". Additional info from German citizens who confirmed Temples' account is included. One area that bothered me was on page 6 where he reports that a Nazi named Bouhler, who figures prominently in the book, was physically and mentally tortured to death by American troops. The author reports that the official version is that he committed suicide with a cyanide capsule. Some documentation of the torture, other than it being simply stated as such, should be provided. Was it simply interrogation? An interesting book.

Excellent book!
Found this book on Hitler's escape very interesting. I think Peter Orr did an amazing job at researching and presenting very compelling information about Hitler's successful escape thanks also to Aubrey Temple's testimony who reported seeing Hitler board a plane and fly out of Berlin.

Verratschema and Pseudocide: The Plane to Spain Explained
Author Peter David Orr has crafted a concise log of an epic quest, documentation of the carefully concealed escape of the undisputed most despised figure of the Twentieth Century.Eyewitness may be said to be two books: Verratschema: The false betrayal of Hitler by Goering et al, and Pseudocide, the author's term for the charade of Death in the Bunker—plus From Berlin to Barcelona via Taifun, Storch, and DC-3.Bormann made Speer facilitator-in-chief of Plan V-S, Verratshema, and its multiple outs from capture and revenge.Bormann informs Goering that Hitler has suffered a nervous breakdown; Goering telegraphs Hitler that he, Goering, will assume command pending Hitler's reply.A group of SS men deliver a corpse to Hitler's Dr. Kunz in the basement of the New Chancellery at 4 am; at 10 am SS men use a cart to move the body of a man and that of a woman toward the tunnel to the Fuhrerbunker.Dr. Kunz uses Hitler's dentist Dr. Blaschke's x-rays and notes to install a replica of Hitler's dentures in a corpse.Blood found on the Fuhrer's couch is that of a man—but not Hitler's blood type. The “Hitler” skull fragment is that of a woman yet the female cadaver does not “warrant a positive identification of. . .Eva Braun Hitler”.Bodies in the couples' clothes are wrapped in blankets and burned in the courtyard—after a “wedding” officiated by a low-level Party official who never met Hitler and Eva.Albert Speer and Werner Baumbach commander of the Luftwaffe Special Forces unit KG 200 selected by Hitler as Chef de Regierungstaffel (special Luftwaffe detachment to facilitate escape of Nazi elite by air) create multiple outs.Ernst Baumgart flew Hitler and Eva from the East-West Axis (Strasse de 17.Juni) in a 4-seater Me 108 Taifun to Bad AiblingUS Army POW Aubrey M. Temples saw Hitler in the back seat of the center car of three black Mercedes bringing Hitler to three waiting Storches ordered by Skorzeny to fly Hitler and Eva to Nussdorf am Inn to a former Holland Airlines DC3-194B captured by the Germans in May of 1940.The DC-3 flies from Innsbruck to Barcelona-Reus May 1, 1945, with Hitler and Eva where the plane was repainted for a flight to the Canary Islands landing on a runway on the Jandia Peninsula, Fuerteventura. The route skirted the Italian border with Switzerland across a corridor cleared through negotiation between General Wolff and the chief of OSS in Berne, Allen Dulles.A nice touch, that last. Don't you think.

Poorly written, but interesting at times
The first half of this book made a believer out of me. The second half was so convoluted and disorganized I was just praying for it to end...

Excellent reading!!!
From one of the research assistants to Grey Wolf and author of Pseudocide, Eyewitness to Hitlers Escape takes a different approach to the possibility that Adolf Hitler escaped the bunker and explores fascinating testimony from U.S. soldier Aubrey Temples that he witnessed Adolf Hitler escape in a Fieseler Storch aircraft on April 30th, 1945 in a place called Nussdorf am Inn. Other intriguing details include Plan V-S a complex plan of disinformation among top ranking Nazi officials, the body doubles at the bunker in Berlin and disproving the then Soviet version of Adolf Hitlers dental remains.

Entertaining Read
If he did make it out of Germany he would be long dead by now so it is really a moot point. Interesting reading and not a waste of time. Something to ponder for a short while.

Good story and all of the holes that were missingAt the end of World War II. Very good documented research.. I was very surprised that the Allied armies did not have complete investigations of the who what when and where to authenticateWhat happened to Hitler and the major characteristics and World War II.
Very well written researched documented and authenticated through thousands upon thousands of pages of interviews and other sources to bring the events of World War II to an end concerning the German leader ship
