New 2017 Swarovski 5257589 Annual Edition Christmas Ornament

After reading several reviews on here warning of fakes, I found a review that seemed to be the most helpful. It basically says, "select the '# New from $xx' link below the item photo and pick the one where the seller is Amazon, not just fulfilled by them." I did just that and as far as I know, I got a legit Swarovski ornament (box says "Made in Austria" which others said is an indicator of a real piece. I also got the little warning booklet inside too). Pics attached, so you be the judge. I love it though and I think my wife will too. It's beautiful, sparkles like crazy in a cellphone flashlight (haven't gotten to see it in sunlight just yet though - thanks, Minnesota winters) and seems very well made. Amazingly clear. As you'll see in one pic where the flash was on, it's so clear you can hardly tell the ornament is in fact in the case.

I purchased this as a gift and was skeptical because of other reviews saying it was fake. I don't believe that I received a fake. The box says made in Austria, the product number is 5257589, matches Swarovski's web site. I weighed it, with packaging 2.65 oz. Without packaging 28 g. I compared it to a 2013 snowflake which weighed 37 g. It is slightly smaller which probably accounts for the difference in weight. It's like comparing apples to oranges anyway, I just wanted an general idea of the weight. The ornament came nicely packaged and fits well in the box. It shines very nicely when placed on the tree next to other crystal. I don't doubt there are fakes out there but I don't think that I got one.

Was a bit nervous to order this because of the number of bad reviews about possible counterfeits being delivered. I can say that this one certainly looks legit and I am completely happy with what we received. This is out 6th year in a row ordering straight from Swarovski and I can not see a difference. The box has the correct item number even though the item listed was missing a digit. The price on the sticker on the box shows $79 even though actual cost was half that. The box does have Made in Austria stamped on it. Spacing on the date tag looks good. Only came with one ribbon that was already connected to the ornament just like previous years. Like I said, seems legit.

Purchased from Amazon and fulfilled by Amazon. Arrived in padded manila envelope. Textured double box with Swarovski logo, "Annual Edition Ornament 2017" on front of outer box, and "Made in Austria" stickers on back of outer box. Inside was the Swarovski mini booklet. Inner box has circular padding on underside of top, and ornament rests on black velvet-like fabric with recessed cut-out section matching shape of ornament. White ribbon and "2017" silver tag both in excellent condition. The ornament's mass feels consistent with crystal. Its edges are sharp, and it is radiant in sunlight. By all aspects, this appears to be a genuine Swarovski product. Was happy to see that Amazon delivered as promised.

These are the most beautiful christmas ornaments that I own. We got one for our wedding years ago and I get one every year now. I dream of having a tree made of these. They are beautiful but are delicate so would not be good for small children or big dogs. They go at the very top of my tree to prevent any injury to them. They are good quality. They do not weigh down the branches on the tree which is my biggest ornament pet peeve! They are great as a gift for special occasions or as a yearly tradition!

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely beautiful, securely packaged. Crystal edges are smooth, yes there is a separate silver piece with the year 2017 ENGRAVED-that’s fine. I want a beautiful ornament- if forging the year possibly screws up the snowflake-fine.This was the first time I ordered this from Amazon NOT directly from Swarovski or “another company that has a lot of discontinued China etc). Everything is in order, and it is packaged correctly WITH the Swarovski paper. This is NOT a fake. Cannot wait to hang it up with the others.
