Solid and Affordable
Fairly high quality set especially for the price. Washes and microwaves well. Overall a solid and affordable set.

Good quality and reasonable price
Packaging was adequate and items arrived undamaged. Needed a set of twelve so ordered two of these. They can safely be put in the dishwasher. They are a little heavy, but that is what we wanted. The surface is smooth and shiny. I would recommend these to anyone that wants a heavier and practical set of dishes.

Top quality for a decent price
Goodness I didn't realize I've had these dishes for almost four years. Only one bowl has broken so far, but all of them have been dropped on the counter and floor. No chips and scratches dont show either. They're medium weight, true to color, and completely stain resistant.

Good basic set of dishes
I was looking for a decent set of everyday dishes. I came across these, but was hesitant to buy because of some of the negative reviews. I took a chance, and went ahead with my purchase. I'm glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these are a perfectly serviceable set of dishes. I had none of the issues others complained about. They came undamaged. I've been using them, and so far so good. For the price, it's hard to complain. That said, there are few things I'll mention. First off, these are really solid dishes. They are thick and durable. But they are definitely not the whitest. In fact, I'd say they are more of an off white. It's not a huge deal because they still work great but they often look more gray than white in some light. I can get used to it, but something to be aware of. The other thing is the size. The dinner plate is a usable size, if not a bit small. The side plate and bowl are just a little too small. They work, but I'd love to see them about 20% larger.Beyond these minor quibbles, I have no issue recommending this set of dishes. They are a great price. If you're looking for quality china, keep looking. And for the record, I invested in a decent set of china that said "great for everyday use". Yeah, well no. They didn't hold up. This set of cheap dishes likely will.

Quality Dishes
I was way overdue for some new dishes. All of my dishes were old and in bad shape and I broke most of my sets. I finally got around to purchasing more but hated the thought of paying so much for them, considering I needed so many. I found this set and decided to get it. I didn't need any mugs and this set includes six of each item so I thought it would be a good base set that I could slowly build upon. It would allow me to immediately have enough new dishes for a low price but then I can add to my collection on the more expensive dishes a bit at a time. This set is a great deal. The price is very low compared to others and the quality is excellent. The dishes are not light and thin; they are heavy (but not too much) and not fragile. Utensils do not scratch them. They also hold up perfectly in the dishwasher and microwave. The bowls are deep and perfect for soups and cereals. The dinner plates are a good size. The dessert plates are a bit small but are good for dessert. What I mean by that is that they aren't the type of plate you can use for a small meal. They're more for eating a sandwich on or a slice of cake (hence the title "dessert plate"). The rim of the plates takes up quite a bit of space so the actually eating surface isn't as big as it sounds by calling it a 10.5-inch plate. However, you can still pile food onto the edges to make up for it. It hardly makes a difference because the edges aren't much higher than the surface of the plate. The only flaw in these plates is that they don't stack evenly. They don't look uneven to the eye at all, but you can notice when you stack them. If you want them on display (in a glass-doored cabinet, for instance), they won't look very pretty. However, if you store them in a plate rack or in a solid door cabinet, they are just fine. These are great if you want a basic set of inexpensive dishes. They're a great starter set for building upon or for someone just starting out in a new house, dorm, or apartment.

Great, especially for the price
I've had two sets of 6 place settings for a little more than five years now. Most of the complaints people have here can easily be addressed by buying much more expensive dishes. Not sure what they're expecting here but you're not going to get a $300 set of dishes for $40. If how they display is super important to you, I'd probably look at fancier stuff. The white is fine. I don't know what color of white Pantone would call them, but I'd call them white. I have white serving dishes and they go together about as well as any dishes that weren't bought as a set would. The durability is great and the dishes are heavy. The plates probably aren't picture perfect quality when you stack them, but making every plate the exact same is hard, which makes them expensive. Which these are not. If you have glass door cabinets and you're hoping to impress guests with how perfectly precise your dishes are and and how well they display, maybe these aren't for you. But really, who is looking to display a bunch of $2 plates? When you put them on a table, no one will ever, ever notice the fraction of a millimeter difference in one plate-rim to the next. These get run through the dishwasher a minimum of 2-3 times a week and they've held up great. We've dropped a bowl or a plate or two over the years, so our 12 settings are probably more like 10 and some change by now. My only gripe would be that it seems you can't buy the pieces individually, because I'd get more bowls if I could. I think we've broken 3-4 of them, plus a plate or two. Otherwise, it's hard to know where I could have gone wrong with $80 worth of dishes more than five years ago.Don't let all the complaining fool you. These are good dishes. Especially at the price.
