Since its foundation in 1930, CITIZEN has promoted a multi-cultural mindset that fosters excellence and creativity. The very name of the brand conveys a deep respect toward craftsmanship and considered as familiar by citizens the world-over. So as a “citizen” of the world, we bear the responsibility to help cultivate a culture of positive change and on-going evolution through our craft. We take that mission seriously and steadfastly welcome what the future may bring. As a true manufacture d’horlogerie, CITIZEN integrates a comprehensive manufacturing process from creating individual components to a watch’s final assembly. It’s an artisan’s approach to watch making based on pushing forward the boundaries of technology and leveraging our experience toward exploring new possibilities. One pivotal technological breakthrough was the development of a light-driven watch. CITIZEN pioneered this engineering innovation well ahead of other watch manufacturers as early as 1976, which led to the launch of the highly acclaimed Eco-Drive in 1995. Utilizing electrical power converted from virtually any light source, this extraordinary innovation changed forever the way watches could be powered. Eco-Drive eliminated the need to ever replace batteries, which made it especially beneficial to areas where such specialist batteries were not obtainable. This leveled the field for citizens of virtually every country to be able to experience unrestricted joy of wearing and using a CITIZEN watch. The product development policy, “The Fusion of Technology and Beauty,” remains a constant motivation for us to merge cutting-edge technology with perfection of design beauty, which as a consequence inspires people to strive to be their best at any time. CITIZEN launches a new campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, Better Starts Now. This is the simple belief that no matter who you are or what you do, it is always possible to make something better — and now is the time to start doing it. We believe that better and now are both infinite, and that there is always a next ‘better’ and a new ‘now’ in which you can start pursuing it. It was clear from the onset of this project that we are dedicated to this ideal…not to the past but to the present, and all the way we can improve it. To help communicate this belief to the world we have created a new global CITIZEN brand movie, brand identity and brand website that represents out Better Starts Now philosophy. Exceptional Engineering and Design
I have a 15 year-old Citizen Eco-Drive Blue Angels Skyhawk watch which has worked flawlessly and still serves me well today. I was searching to purchase a new Blue Angels watch when I found the black Navihawk A-T model on Amazon. I liked the look and design so I purchased this watch. Overall, I am very happy with this watch and give it 5 stars.Pros:Beautiful design and look, exceptional engineering - how the Eco-Drive system can run all the timing, hand movements, analog and digital displays, radios/timekeeping and power management from any light source without requiring battery replacement is simply amazing (I am an electrical engineer with 40 years experience); This Promaster watch comes in a nice black foam-filled display case. Receive the watch, open the case and the watch turns on and sets the time perfectly, albeit to LAX time zone. Amazon price; Amazon is authorized dealer so you get Citizen 5-year warranty; register watch with Citizen and get additional year warranty.Cons/Quibbles:Owners Manual/Instructions not included with watch. Comprehensive manual/instructions are on-line. Not an issue unless you want to print a copy since pdf is formatted with only 2 manual pages per 8.5X11 sheet of paper, leaving 2/3 of the page blank. So you will use 60 sheets of paper.Powerful watch with a lot of features and functions may be difficult/too complex for inexperienced user. Not an issue for me, but I would recommend taking the manual and watch and spending a whole day going through everything. It will be worth it."Reverse-LCD" displays (white segments on black background) are sometimes difficult to read. I found that this was due to off-axis viewing, i.e. if you look at the LCD displays straight on-center they are very legible.Rotating inner bezel control clumsy/difficult to use while wearing watch. Bezel and dial face printing/markings are too small to read and make use of navigation calculation feature. Not an issue for me since I rarely, if ever, use that feature.Only 2 alarms vs. 3 alarms in previous Skyhawk model. Minor quibble. Technically Citizen replaced 1 alarm with the RX-S setting on the mode hand for the atomic timekeeping function.

Great Watch
Love this watch. Actually had the stainless steel version and saw this at a store while on vacation. Decided to get it and went back the next day and they had sold it. Came home and ordered from Amazon. This whole series from Citizens are fantastic watches. Look good and keep perfect time pretty much all over the world. Admittedly the features can be a bit confusing and sometimes difficult to use but I’ve gotten comfortable with simple time changes so no real issues for me. Really like not having to worry about batteries.

... in the reviews commented on the strap unbuckling too easily. Definitely haven't experienced it even once
Someone in the reviews commented on the strap unbuckling too easily. Definitely haven't experienced it even once. It's a solid highly functional watch. Essentially has a computer inside and makes swapping timezones and the likes a breeze. My only complaint is that the inner dials aren't too useful. There's a lot of redundant or not too useful information like a 24h hour hand, and a UTC hour hand, on top of your normal big hour hand. There's 2 more dials with the function mode and the continent of the sync radio tower. All 4 aren't really useful. Would have made more sense to have the date or something that's used everyday. If I needed my watch to tell me what continent I'm on, I might need more than a watch at that point

Have a collection of watches. This makes my top list
I waited to buy this watch because I was hesitate on spending the money. I decided to just go for it and it was worth every penny. I love this watch. It was so many time zones you can switch too. For those of you who are pilots, it does have zulu time as well. It also has a setting that shows you the date : day, month and year. It can also display analog military time and has a dial with military time. You can do calculations and has heading bearings as well. Runs on solar power so you don't even have to worry about batteries. My only criticism is I wish the analog time stayed on a little longer. When you press one of the nobs the time is displayed but on for about 3 seconds. Another comment is the band for this watch is a little tight. The metal ends that it connects too digs into your skin a little. Not a major issue only happens if it's on your wrist for a long time. You can also change the band to something else but I like the mess design. Such a great watch I highly recommend to watch collectors. Such beautiful design and awesome addition to a collectors inventory.

Pretty nice watch for the money...
I bought this watch based on its features and the price. What attracted me to this watch was the solar power and radio control time setting. The watch seems to be well built; I did have to take out a few links so it would fit my wrist. The watch does have a bit of a steep learning curve to set it and use its other features. There is no instruction manual included in the case; you have download the Citizen app or go to their website to get a full instruction manual.

Superb watch with ONE caveat
I love the watch- I bought it as a gift for my son for graduation and he loves it too. The only caveat is that, like other Navihawks, it does have a "Navihawk" placard on the 9 o'clock side of the watch. It may be something that is too pronounced for some folks, but other than that this watch is wonderful, and the AT feature ensures perfect time, every time.

Excelente Reloj
