I've played a floor model of the Jupiter 600L Bb Trumpet while checking out horns for a recommendation. I feel as though the upper register on most Jupiter student and intermediate horns is tight and restricted--not worth the price, really. Andreas Eastman student trumpets 420G/420 and above have more value per dollar. They are better built, are very free-blowing throughout the register, and produce a rich, solid trumpet sound. Sometimes, you can find them for less than 300 dollars on eBay. Also consider used Yamaha, Getzen, and Carol Brass student models for that price. This is important for beginning trumpeters because they can concentrate more on the music as well as expressing themselves rather than the effort it takes to play those higher notes.

Not bad for a cheaper trumpet. If you plan on playing for a longer period of time, however, consider purchasing higher quality.

Trumpet was as advertised. Some of the price's I seen for this trumpet was twice the cost so how can I not be satisfied. My son is enjoying to learn to play and I'm happy that he has a quality Jupiter trumpet at a fair price.
