This pie crust protector is better than I expected. Heavy duty but won't crush your pie crust. It actually covers the entire edges of you crust, no burning with this. I will be buying this again for my sister and one extra for me. Well worth the money.

Bought one of those silicone pie crust covers that is adjustable. It doesn’t stay in place. This one I just popped on the crust….no muss, no fuss, no buttoning it in and no burned crust. Yea!

This is an item we have been dreaming of for a long time. Our pie shields are old and tarnished aluminum and don't come clean easily. Unfortunately, the inside diameter covers too much of the pie and then gets stuck in the taller pies. If only the inside diameter was bigger, making more of the pie exposed. that would be ieal

This is a review of the pie shield (since I see numerous other products in these reviews). I learned pie making from my mother- and I love pies of all kinds. I bought the first one of these pie crust shields several years ago. I think it stuck a little the first time I used it but never since. I wash it by hand. I realize there are cheaper versions out there, but this is metal, not silicone , and the designs make it oddly beautiful for a simple baking tool. I used to cut foil into strips then fit that around the crust to prevent burned edges. Then I found this. My daughter was impressed, so I just ordered one for her.

I received this pie crust shield protector in a timely fashion, and in great condition. I haven’t used it yet, but I am hoping it will be exactly what I wanted or needed. It looks easy to use, no assembly required, just placing it on the pie crust as needed.

I love pies, and I love to bake, but the delicate balance between making sure the pie is “done” and not burning the crust has always been a problem for me. A cooking show taught me a few years ago about the method of placing strips of foil around the edge of the pie plate to protect the crust from burning, but the strips would always shift and expose the crust to too much heat. I don’t remember what led me to search for something different, but I stumbled upon pie crust covers and wondered where they had been my whole life. I selected this one over the silicone ones because it seemed more sturdy and easy to clean. But the true test was my Thanksgiving pecan pie. The cover kept my crust perfectly golden brown while the filling bubbled up in the oven, and I could not have been more relieved! I would make sure any baker in your life has one of these!

Kept my pie crust from getting to brown while waiting for the rest of the pie to bake.
