Seed Needs, Culinary Chives Seed Packet Collection (2 Individual Varieties of Chives Seeds for Planting) Non-GMO & Untreated - Includes Garlic Chives & Common Chives

Not sure why, but a bit slow to germinate. Took off once it got going. Pleased at flavor.

All of the onion chives sprouted. However, a two attempts planting 5 seeds each time, only one out of 10 seeds sprouted for the garlic chives. I had attempted to start both chive varieties in an aerogarden. I will attempt the garlic chives again by planting directly outdoors in a pot. I will monitor the progress through maturity and update rating if necessary.

What could go wrong?I planted chives near all my delicate plants, thinking I'd drive off critters.Something else popped up, it's some sort of nightshade. Now I have nightshade in my roses, all around my cherry tree and swallowing my currants. Not a single chive popped up.Woe is me!!

These arrived very nicely packaged. The two varieties of chives were contained separately in their own little packets, which were both contained inside a tough outer brown packet. I'm guessing the outer packet is to keep it air/moisture tight because it had an inner lining. The inner seed packets are conveniently resealable with sticky foldover tab that will probably lose its stick after a while, but how long are you going to keep a packet of seeds around, anyway?Since it just arrived I can't comment on their germination rate or plant health, but I'll update once I have more to say on that.Update: Just wanted to say that the germination rate was excellent. The garlic chive seeds were just slightly slower to sprout than the regular chives, but both sprouted very well!

These were just ok. About 1/3 of them sprouted. The garlic chives barely sprouted. I’d say less than 1/4 off them sprouted.

I love chives! These arrived in really pretty packaging and have already started sprouting in my seed trays!

These seeds are not good, planted them 2 times and only got 2 plants.I don’t recommend.

Easy quick delivery. Growing nicely.
