Unforgiven (4K UHD & HD)

It s a brilliant film, no doubt. The video could've been better but the audio is great. There are some special features but nothing special. Packaging was okay...no slipcover included. Overall a pretty good upgrade from the DVD.

Picture quality is not even as good as a normal Blu Ray. The black level bleeds big time. Totally unworthy for a 4K Disc. Nonetheless, the audio quality is good. I wonder why people are reviewing the movie here. They are supposed to review the picture and audio quality of this 4k disc, which is disappointing.

In last two weeks I have this movie and Kurosawa's Seven Samurai and Yojimbo, and while this movie is no match for Kurosawa's movie, it holds its own in raising other questions. Mr. Eastwood has been in many Segio Leone's movies and while I prefer Leone's movies for entertainment, this movie holds a special place for me for being modern.

Brilliant n pathbreaking western with a stellar star cast...with an additional commentary by richard. An oscar well deserved. Amazon delights

Good quality, good movie.

It all begins with a woman of easy virtue mocking the manhood of a cowboy. All mayhem breaks loose after that. An unlikely trio of a myopic bounty hunter, a reformed and aging former assassin and his now domesticated and reluctant partner set off to hunt down a pair of rowdies.Clint Eastwood is a pig farmer and his fumbling attempts to regain his shooting and riding prowess are hilarious to watch. His pigs are suffering from fever (Swine Flu?) and all he has to show for his struggles in isolating them is a cheek smeared with pig droppings He is ably supported by Morgan Freeman – a versatile actor who can slip in smoothly into any role.But the best performance is by Gene Hackman (earned him an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role). His stony-eyed look is enough to intimidate any crook into submission. He also aspires to be an amateur carpenter and all he has to show for his attempts is a house that leaks like a sieve. His deputy comments, “You know, he don't have a straight angle in that whole god-damned porch, or the whole house for that matter. He is the worst damn carpenter”.Clint Eastwood has produced and directed this film as a tribute to Westerns. It is certainly not like anything we saw back in the seventies when the good guys prevailed over the bad guys. The language, for one, is liberally sprinkled with profanities and scatological terms. Yet, some of the lines will have you in splits.‘Unforgiven’ is more tenuous on morality and sins – there are grey areas and no clear demarcation of good and bad, as it were. That, of course, is reality.......A very entertaining movie indeed.

great movie,perfect western.must watch for western movie lovers. Clint Eastwood at his best. Hope we get to see more such movies.

Outstanding movie

Del film non parlo nemmeno (capolavoro,e chi non lo conosce si metta dietro la lavagna col cappello d’asino). Questa versione in UHD è roba da stropicciarsi gli occhi, non credo di aver mai visto Gli Spietati così bene come oggi... non sembra nemmeno abbia vent’anni sul groppone,un ottimo master. Discorso diverso per l’audio,un modesto Dolby Digital 2.0, identico a quello che ho sulla mia vecchia copia in DVD. Vedo però che anche il Bluray ha la stessa identica traccia quindi che dire? Probabilmente un mix 5.q italiano non è mai esistito,chissà... discorso diverso per il TrueHD inglese,un vero piacere. Tuttavia devo dire che nonostante un 2.0 il film si lascia vedere bene perché quando hai a che fare con un capolavoro si passa sopra alcune cose... e sono così contento di vederlo così bene che cinque stelle sono assicurate! Un ottimo acquisto,contentissimo di vedere il vecchio Clint in 4K in forma smagliante!

For me it 's a fun movie...I enjoy the old time guns and I have a Schofield, a Spencer carbine and a coach gun as used in the movie along with the ubiquitous 1873 Colts...I like the acting of Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and the rest...it's the kind of movie I like to have a few beer while watching...escapism at it's best...

I bought this movie for my husband's birthday and it started cutting out half way through and them the sound and the picture no longer matched. It was extremely disappointing that we were not able to enjoy my husband's favourite movie. When I gave him the movie he had a feeling about the movie because the plastic around the movie wasn't very tight. It is really upsetting to wait so long for a movie just to end up with what was obviously a bootleg copy. I guess we are going to have to risk going out in order to buy movies because we obviously can not trust buying ones from here.

I watched this long time ago in the theaters when it was just released. i remember not being impressed as much, there was't much action I thought... But after watching it again with this bluray, I understand now why this in on IMDB's top 250 rated movie. One of Clint's best movies

Mi pelicula western favorita, sin duda alguna de los mas grandes clásicos de Hollywood, sobre la edición es buena, lastima que el material extra no tenga subtitulos, pero en general muy buena, llego a tiempo y en buena forma
