I bought a freezer with an in-freezer ice maker. In order to avoid hands that probably aren't that clean, I bought this. I keep it inside the freezer right next to the icemaker and because of the material it never gets too cold to touch. An excellent size, too. Absolutely perfect!

The scoop is as expected, but there is a sticker on the back that is very hard to get off. The residue from it remains and powders stick to the residue. To whomever sells this item - please do not put in that sticker!

The scoop is nice for ice. But we had to use paint thinner to remove the stickum left behind after removal of the sticker attached to the bottom. The paint thinner dulled the finish. So now we have a tarnished ice scoop because someone put an almost permanent sticker on the bottom of it.

This scoop works exactly as advertised, and is probably better than similar products on the market due to its versatile shape. I leave it in my ice maker and the acrylic material does not get cold to the touch. Still, somehow this scoop has not reduced the amount of ice I drop on the floor. Such is life! The size is perfect for icing regular size drink glasses. If you use oversized glasses or cups, AND like a lot of ice in them, you might want to opt for one size larger on the scoop.

I have an excellent GE refrigerator. It makes a ton of ice. The secret is in the fact that there is no external ice dispenser which makes the ice have to drop a long way to the ice bin. This refrigerator has the ice bin in the bottom freezer drawer. We get tons of ice and I needed an this little ice scoop to take ice out w/o touching it with my hands.

First, this scoop replaces a 10 year old scoop that finally gave out. Second, many reviewers had trouble removing the UPC label. Soak the scoop with the label submerged in very hot water for at least 2 hours. The label literally falls off the scoop. Scoop is high quality, scoops more than enough ice to fill a glass and if needed will be perfect for parties of any size. Being plastic, it will not freeze in the ice bin. Exactly what we needed at a very reasonable price.

First, this is a solid top quality scoop. However, it's not very well suited for my purpose as an ice scoop. It's simply too flat. The handle and scoop are perfectly level. Therefore if you have any downward angle into the ice, the ice slides right out. You are forced to move the handle lower (into the ice) or push the ice against the sides of the container as you lift it out. I think it would be a lot better (for me) if it had about a 15 or 20-degree angle on the handle...think shovelhead.

I used this item as an ice scoop in my freezer of my new refrigerator and it is perfect! The only dislike I have is that the bar code sticker on the product was nearly impossible to remove. After it was mostly removed, the clear plastic flawless scoop was scratched and marred from the removal process. Otherwise I was completely satisfied with this product.
