Small Hummingbird Feeder with Hanging Wires,Easy Cleanup and Refill Mini Hummingbird Feeders for Outdoors(4 Pack,2.3 oz)

This feeder worked out perfect for my friend to take care of my hummingbirds when I was away on vacation.I don't use the cord that comes with the feeder to hang. I use it to create a perch for the hummingbirds so they can rest while they take a drink. I cord it around the top of the red base and form the cord down in front for a perch. Works perfectly as you can see from the photo.I also don't use the flower around the opening because it's one more thing that can get dirty/filled with bacteria. The hummingbirds can find the port opening without it. It's a great mini feeder when you don't need to put out a lot of nectar.

I replace the nectar once a day. I have about 40 of these now. The hummingbirds like them. I am out in Texas country and if they don't see a flower, they can just fly away without seeing the hole on one of those Aspects feeders where the entire top is jewel-tone red. On those, I had to pain the embossed flower with nail polish so the hummingbirds would see a contrast between the lid and the feeding hole. I can also put several out all over so one bird can't defend "her" feeder. I put them around corners from the others so one bird cannot see all at once. I also noticed that they defend feeders more when there are fewer flowers, it's hot and dry, or raining (no flying insects and water-logged flowers), and especially if I use 3:1 water:sugar ratio. A 4:1 ratio makes them fight less. I scrub the spout out with a mascara wand - I bought a set of 5 - and you do need to scrub the bottles out, too. The clear plastic makes it easy to see how much is left from a distance, but it can also get algae or black mold inside. This style of feeder is less apt to have small gnats floating in it. The hummingbirds eat gnats and then drink nectar in the Aspect sit-down style feeder, and sometimes backwash from the hummingbird washes a gnat into the nectar, but not on this style. The light back pressure near the flower will cause it to drip with the wind, but not enough to bother me. The ants can find them, so I move them or hang them from an ant trap. I do not use the included red wires, I use S-shaped hooks.

These are very small little hummingbird feeders. I am using them to make a hummingbird "chandelier" feeder and they are perfect for my project! Very sturdy little feeders that do not leak.

These are perfect!!! Bought them in the spring after I saw a humming bird buzzing around a red and yellow jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce on my porch. I hung up all four and within a few days had more hummingbirds then I've ever seen. It didn't hurt that we timed it just right, during their migration north. Now (September) they are on their way south and they came back with their offspring, I think. There are often more than 20 at a time. It has been so much fun to watch and contribute to their journey across the Gulf of Mexico. I love that the feeders are small, because you are supposed to change out the food every couple days anyway. I bought some for my sister. Everyone should have some.

I like these feeders because of the compact size. I live on the migration route and get lots of hummers. They can get pretty aggressive on the larger feeders and not let other birds feed at the same time. These feeders are small and single flower feed spots so can place in several locations around the yard and avoid the congestion at one spot. They need to be filled up each day because of their size but it's better for the birds if the feeders are cleaned and fresh each day anyway, so I don't feel like I am wasting the feed.

Nice and small and very easy to clean are the best features. Most importantly though is that the hummingbirds love it too. Unfortunately, this style hummingbird feeder suffers from the issue of the liquid dripping out of the flower opening. But I found that by filling it up to more than halfway and then carefully hanging it, it doesn't drip much at all. If you think you can save hummingbird food by only using a very small amount, it won't work - it'll drip out. At least it did in my hands.

I have used something similar before and loved them because they are easy to clean and the hummers can get every drop out of the feeder since it is pointed to the bottom. I did not use the twist wires but my hard wire hangers since they were in good shape and I was putting them in my flower box. Always give them sugar water with no red dye because that is not necessary and it is very inexpensive to mix sugar and water and heat for 10 minutes in the microwave. Save extra in the refrigerator when the tubes get low.

These are my second favorite Hummer feeder after the window suction cup feeders. Like the window or hand held feeders you refill often keeping nectar fresh. However, they are so easy to clean and refill or just rotate that it’s still easier.It’s fun to hang them in places with easy viewing but they also hang well in trees and shrubs that a Hummer would feel safer too.I love them! Hummers love them! My yard is now Hummer Paradise!!🌺🌸💐
