Love it
I usually don't take time to write reviews, but I have to stop and give this one 5 stars because it just blew the other stuff for copper plating that I was using away. My old copper plating paint solution not only started clumping after about a week, but it also stopped plating things properly after a few uses and this graphite paint is absolutely wonderful and works better than my old solution ever did. Also it's way quicker and my pieces come out with a shinier finish as well, BEFORE I even buff them. I am just overwhelmed with joy at how beautifully this is working for me.

Great for electroforming
I’ve used this paint on a few rings and pieces of jewelry with successful results so far. This product is very smooth, not clumpy at all. I’ve used other, more expensive, brands that dried out so easy and came with a crust around the edge of the rim when I first opened it- this was my first warning to show me how quickly the other brand dried out.In comparison to more expensive brands Archaic Elements requires an additional coat of paint but, lasts longer and works equally as good.

Very conductive but bubbles in highly acidic environments
The conductive paint accepts copper well in a copper plating cell. I had a problem with a component of the paint reacting with the copper sulfate solution and effervescing, leading to trapping of bubbles under the paint. The finish of the plated copper is superior to other paints I have used, the thickness is appropriate for making jewelry. Overall, the paint is just too expensive to deal with bubbles under the paint from reacting with the acidic solution.

Love this paint!
I think I just found my go to paint for electroforming! It was perfect! Brushes on nice and smooth, was just the right consistency to get in between small spaces without running. The copper bonds to it very nicely and the finished products look amazing!

Terrible!
Archaic Elements USED TO be a great brand of conductive paint. They must have changed their formula, and now it’s completely unusable. I purchased a jar in early July 2021 and it worked perfectly. I purchased six more jars later that month (the tiny jars don’t last very long) which was a terrible mistake. The paint didn’t seem any different until I put the first piece in the acid bath, where it started to develop bubbles. I was able to shake the first few bubbles off, but as the piece Electroformed the bubbles continued to develop on the surface. This paint results in a terribly lumpy, bumpy texture because of how the copper grows over top of the bubbles. I thought maybe I didn’t let the paint dry long enough at first, so I let a few pieces sit for literally WEEKS, but that didn’t fix the problem. I thought something was wrong with just the first jar, so I threw it away and opened a second jar. It has the same exact problem, so it must be the formula. Now I have four unopened, non-returnable jars that are completely unusable. The company seems to have vanished - I cannot find any contact information to talk with a representative, and there’s no way to get my money back. Huge disappointment, and huge waste of time and money.

Good as Non-tox Gets
Great consistency and spread-ability. High-resistance, but does the job if applied properly & with multiple coats. Dries fast, easy cleanup. I used it to connect areas of aluminum automotive tape in guitar cavities, and it did what I expected quite well. More product than I expected, and I estimate one could treat maybe 3 Strats with 3 coats each and still have some left. Happy.

Resistive Paint
I don't know what archaic magic is in this but the Multi-meter doesn't beep on a conductivity test. I was able to get resistance measurements typical of high output pickups. Seems to look like graphite maybe its not too good of a conductor. Spare me the arcane and occult symbology. If I'm ever in the mood for that I'll read Hellblazer.

Very smooth and consistent
This product came with great and easy to follow instructions. It went on smoothly and was very easy to use. This is my new favorite paint! It produced a very even plate.
