Russell Hobbs 4 Slice Toaster with Perfect Toast Technology for improved evenness (Wide slots, Lift & look feature, 6 Browning levels, Frozen & Cancel function, 1700W, Brushed & Stainless Steel) 24090

Did a lot of research before buying this and we also have a 2 slot version at work which is substantially made. I bought the shiny polished version which looks great and it is easy to keep clean too with a quick wipe down. It toasts evenly and quickly and the brown and lift function is great. I like the minimalist look and every works. The only little niggle was that the browning controls are black and it is difficult to see what setting they are on, but easily remedied with some white paint or nail varnish to indicate the setting. This should be done by Russell Hobbs as black on black may look cool but is not functional! Otherwise a well made and good value toaster.

I really like this one, wide enough for warburton rolls, so thick bread it ok too. It does slightly stick out the top, literally 0.5cm I just turn it over if being really fussy, but not really an issue for me. cooks perfectly, all the bits are alight inside, no gaps or cold spots. And the trays at the front.... game changer, why are they not all like this!! no more pulling the whole thing out to empty. would deffo recommend

Pros:Brilliant looking toaster than browns evenly in all 4 slots. A regular medium sliced piece of bread fits easily horizontally in any slot, equally easy to put in croissants, muffins, crumpets, hot cross buns or tea cakes. Each side has it's own browning control too unlike some other 4 slice toasters. You can raise what ever you are toasting at any time and lower it back down so easy to check how things are going. The warming function works well too.Cons:The marker on the browning control is hard to see as its just an indentation. I sorted this with some red humbrol enamel paint(less than £2 on Amazon). It looks great now, see the photos.It also does seem a little slow but not anything too bad.Overall i would highly recommend it but only gave it 4 stars due to having to paint the browning control.

We have had a few toasters recently that have either failed or tripped the house fuse. This seems a better deal than other toasters . Build quality is good and I guess if one part of the toaster fails we still have a double slot working,hopefully . Time will tell regarding its true worth. It does toast well and evenly both sides and will take thick and thin slices. As with all toasters on the market you will need to turn bread that is larger than shop size loaves to get top and bottom done but the lifting handle works well for this operation Dont forget to register within 28 days for the two year warranty. I forgot to register so only have one year. Fingers crossed for this toaster lasting.

This toaster is excellent, does the toast just as I like it, very good for the price paid, it also looks good.

Given a voucher from grandchildren for Christmas so decided to get a toaster whilst on offer. Went for this 4 slice one as fed up of waiting for one lot to be done before you can start the next. Nice to have an even browning too our last toaster was hit and miss. Good on one side but not the other. This toaster is even all over for toasting bread. Only downside was our usual loaf was a bit wider slice than the slots. Just turned the slices the other way and problem solved. Quick to toast and smart looking. Love it.

This toaster is a decent option, but I've found that I often need to eject the bread halfway through toasting and flip it upside down to ensure even browning. The bottom of the bread consistently toasts less effectively than the top.While I understand that uneven toasting can occur if the bread sticks out the top, the uneven browning on the bottom is more concerning.I will be exploring other toaster options in the future. However, I've generally been satisfied with Russell Hobbs products in the past, so I may try another model from their range.

My last two toasters have been the same make and I've always found them to be great quality. Lovely even toasting and highly reliable.
