Favorite travel cup. I buy them for myself and for my friends.
I'm on my 4th. Why don't they last? Because I'm a klutz, and after dropping them on concrete 30 or 50 times they finally punish me for not treating them like the wonderful product they are and loose the vacuum seal. Only then do they no longer hold temperature.Oh, and I actually use two right now (so I'm on my 4th and 5th): one for my morning coffee and one for my tea with lunch.Seriously, this is the one you want. But try not to drop it on concrete more than a few dozen times. One caveat with any of these: When using for hot drinks, press the valve once before laying it on its side on your nice upholstery (if you are driving a beat up old truck like mine, you can ignore this). Heat builds pressure and it is *possible* that it could leak a few drops, but one press of the "button", the pressure is released and you can let it roll around the seat and onto the floor all the way to work.Cheers or whatever the cool kids say these days.

Giving it a 5
Technically this was a purchase for my mother. She's been battling cancer for 2 years now and asks for very little. Last years request was a water bottle to keep her drinks cold so that's what she got. Now it's "I can't put hot stuff in this cup".... right because you wanted it kept cold.Soooo here I am finding a bottle for hot stuff. Home girl drinks coffee and tea allllll daaaayyyy looonggggg. She also travels a lot for treatments and appointments so I decided to take her request further. She should now be able to travel with her hot bevvy of choice without spillage and at about a 2 cup portion great for on the go without being too large or small. I hope it tides her over and I hope there's no struggle with use.I love the color and the build of the cup and I'm sure she will as well. I'm a fan of Contigo brand cups so I'm sure this will be used and well loved for years to come.

Okay but not great
I had one of the a couple years ago but lost it. Bought this again but it is not the same. Does not keep my coffee hot no where near as long and the previous cup. Same brand.

Best Contigo travel mug for coffee!
As someone who will spill a drop of coffee given any opportunity, I absolutely need to use a travel mug. I have bought many over the years but they always seemed to allow one drip (rusually ight onto my white top.) Contigo West Loop is the only travel mug I have ever used that is truly drip-proof. Those TV commercials where they tip it upside down over a white dress shirt? That's accurate. Closed properly, Contigo West Loop does not allow any drips. NONE. So recently I lost my West Loop mug, and needed a new one fast. Walmart sells Contigo but they only had Contigo Byron or Huron, not a single West Loop model - so I bought what they had, because Contigo is Contigo, right? WRONG. The stainless mug isn't very different, but the all-important difference is the black plastic top. On West Loop, the neutral setting is locked/closed, and you need to press the button to open the sip spout - as soon as you stop pressing, the sip spout closes tight. On Byron and Huron, you flip up to open a release, making the sip spout wide open until you snap the release closed to block the sip spout. Because I can't seem to remember to snap the release back down (and who wants to or even can do this while driving, after every sip?) I have dripped coffee on myself again just about every day. So I ordered a new West Loop from Amazon, and I'm back to confidently drinking my black French roast coffee in the car, knowing I will not be sporting coffee drips when I arrive at my destination.

This are by far the best travel mug, period!
I can't tell you how many times I have had other brands and to tip or drop them only to have the contents go all over the place. As long as you have the lid on tight you can turn these upside down and even shake them and not one drop will spill out. I also like the face that they clean easily in our dishwasher. We will not use any other brand and these are always at a great price! Buy a couple... You can thank me later ; )

Run over by a car and still holds my coffee
Okay, so I had a rough morning riding my bike to work. Hit a curb and everything in my basket went flying, I hit the ground. I jumped up when I realized my coffee was in the road and although it was fine traffic was aimed right at it. Flailing my arms I tried to stop the car but to no avail, they hit my poor coffee head on. Coffee everywhere! Tears in my eyes I picked my mug up and rode home. The pic are after the accident and the miracle part of the story is the mug stills holds coffee without spilling. Definitely worth the cost.
