These are really nice trimming tools, the wood is a bit cheap but I expected as much for the price. They're not Dolan, but you'd pay this much for one tool. They need to be kept sharp, but with money you saved, buy a grinder.

Was not sharp. Not trimming well with pots, rust easily. Will never buy tools from China again.

I use similar tools to this, but I only have two of them and wanted different shapes. So I was hoping that this would be a good addition to my pottery trimming tools. These tools are too dull to cut through the clay, even though I'm trimming at less than leather hard. I think it was a waste of money, even though you get eight of them. Maybe they'd work for carving but they don't work for trimming on the wheel. I wonder if I can get these sharpened or if the company that manufactures them would respond to my request to make these tools sharper? The difference between these tools and the ones I use is the metal seems different.

These tools are not very sharp. None if them have a 90 degree continuosly sharpened corner. Fairly difficult to use due to excessive drag.

These tools are comfortable to use for trimming. They will rust a bit between uses. But, they are hard steel so you can sharpen them easily with a Dremel tool or a sharpening stone. I like them as much as a ribbon tool for trimming!

I ordered these to use in my pottery and have been very happy using them. They are just as described - well formed, fit my hand well. I have purchased single tools like these for a lot more money and I am more pleased with this set for the price. Shipping was surprisingly fast - I was told a month but they arrived in about a week. If you are thinking of some tools like these, give them a try.

The tools were excellent in that they had a variety of shapes. Very good value for money. I did resharpen some of the tools.
