Awesome rod
Over half my combos are ultralight setups now and I didn't think I would like this one was afraid it would be too stiff but man is it great. It's seems stiff on the cast but you hook a 6 inch perch and it has a beautiful arch. Probably due to the guide count. I paired it with a zebco protégé 100 and 4 pound mono. I can say it's OK with lures and my primary use of a dropper rig for panfish. I would advise a 33 micro for float fishing or the spinning model.

to long for the boat use, but over all is good
I knew that it would be too long for the boat use so no stars deducted. Over all it is not bad rod I am pulling 1-3lb fish with it. I was able to cast 1-3g lures with bate caster about 20-30 yards and heavier about 60+. Ideal weight about 5g.

Used this for fishing for perch in the surf, works really well. Use it with light mono and a good reel.

Great rod for panfish small bass, e.t.c.
Between myself and my dad we have atleast 15 lightning rods. We have different weights (ultra light, light, medium light med, med heavy) , lengths and ones different styles of fishing (trolling, casting, jigging, e.t.c). I didn't purchase one on here but I can tell you after 32 years of fishing, lightning rods are definitely nice for the price. It's a sensitive, light rod that is fun to use with a nice handle. This rod is mainly for panfish, small bass, perch, e.t.c.. If you catch a larger fish, you need to learn how play the fish out. Get it tired enough for you to pick it up with a net or your hands. I've never broken a rod because of a fish. You need to know the limits of what you are using and know what you should be using.

Tip broke off after only 2 days of fishing
The description says it all. Ultralight. Used it twice. By the second time, I casted a 1/2 ounce lure and the tip broke off. The rod is rated for 1/32 to 1/4 ounce lures tho. Don’t espect it to be able to andle any type of medium size fish or lures.I give it 2 stars only because the description was right, the name ultralight should have persuaded me not to buy this rod and also because I still use it without the 2 eyes that it lost and some how ended up casting and feeling better. There you go, if you buy this rod get rid of 1 foot of the tip...

Great buy! Looking forward to another one!
I love this rod! It’s a great casting rod for smaller Bass and Perch. With some practice and a dialed in reel, you can send your lure out there! The best part is that when you do hook-up on a fish that the lightness of the action allows constant pressure on the line! Love it and I’ll be buying another soon!
