is this compatible with sirius onyx plus?

Yes, it's compatible. I ordered exact same kit for my Onyx Plus to install on my 2nd car, and works like a charm. All parts compatible.

I have a starmate 5. I'm not looking to screw mount the unit. What is the difference between this model and the sadv2?

Both have the 4 bolt AMPS pattern in the back, but the SXDV3 is also compatible with some XM receivers, as well as your ST5.
