Awesome
I loved the book. The emotions are so beautifully depicted. All the characters are given equal importance and they tell their side of story very nicely. The ending was totally amazing and unexpected, I cried a lot after reading this book. I am a big fan of Jodi Picoult and this book in my opinion is a total masterpiece and one of the best books ever written by her. Thank you amazon for the proper packaging and delivery.

Truly inspiring & heart touching
This book was stunning. In writing, in style, in plot, in character! It truly is one of those books that you really can't stop reading. Especially for me, because in a way it took me back to my Lurlene McDaniel days. Did anyone ever read her? She was always writing books about different teenagers and young children with terminal illnesses. I was addicted to those books. So it was no surprise when the young reader in me sort of jumped up when I saw a friend of mine reading this book and she described it to me.Boy was it a book well chosen. Picoult writes from the views of a few different key characters, allowing the reader to get an extremely well-rounded look at the story. At first the jumping from character to character is a little jarring and you have to keep reminding yourself that it's a new character, but eventually you get into the vibe of the book and wouldn't have it written any other way. The one thing Picoult does perfectly is make you torn. You really don't know who to support in a case like this. At times you find yourself leaning towards Anna, and other times wanting desperately to shout your support for Sara, the poor mother in this situation. With the readers information of other characters points of views and knowledge, the whole case is a lot more difficult to have a desired verdict towards. In the end a decision is made, a decision that, while reading the book, I was constantly wondering what Picoult was going to do, because either way one fully supported side was going to lose. But the way she really ends the book puts results to rest in a solid, yet emotionally unsatisfying ending. The ending it by no means bad, quite the contrary it was beautiful and settling, but at the same time you don't know whether to be relieved that there was an extremely closed ending without debate, or to cry. I won't tell you why, and I may have said too much already. But this book is just incredible and I highly advise you try to read it as soon as possible.

amazing
this 1 is probably the best novel Jodi Picoult has written.Anna has an older sister Kate who suffers from acute promyelocytic leukemia and Anna was brought into the world with the primary motive of helping her sister live. when Anna is asked to donate a kidney to her sister, she sues her parents for the rights of her own body.the story is beautiful and sad. the side characters' lives also add to the wonderful experience this novel has to offer

This book broke my heart.
This book's gonna break your heart. It is a story of two sisters Kate and Anna... Very heart touching... I cried my eyes out at the end. But if I could read this book again for the first time I would do it in a heartbeat. Just don't forget to tissues with while reading it. You are going to need them.

A nice book on topic of famimy complications
What is the parameter for a happy or an unhappy family? Who decided that in the first place? How does a parent decide which children to be saved and which one to let go of?This book by the author touched on the deepest emotions of all family members, be it mother, father, daughter, or sister. Every member has their perspective and I couldn’t ignore any one of them. Though the story kills its charm with the boring and easy climax, the book has a very interesting and indulging plot.Kate is sick and Anna is conceived as a cure for Kate. I know sounds weird, right? That’s what got me in the first place. The story has its share of small moments and large sufferings, writing is not so extraordinary but it will keep you hooked. It’s a weirdly catching plot, which will definitely make the reader ponder over so much.Sara’s character as a mother is a topic of discussion and I can guarantee you, that one can’t take a side. In the beginning, the story seems like an easy decision between right and wrong for me as a reader, but as I read further and got tangled between the web of the Fitzgerald family, I realized there is no right or wrong side, there never is, when it comes to family. After finishing the book, you will feel immense respect and love for your parents. Go and hug them.Loved reading it, the climax was a dud. It was like the author found an easy way out for herself. Campbell and Julia’s character was unnecessary and frustrating, which made the book lengthy. And at what peak of insanity do you have to be, to forgive your high school sweetheart for breaking your heart so badly after 15 years and be back with him again?
