We listened to you and developed the Maglus Mini! Listening to our valued user community we realized that there was a desire for a smaller form factor of our product - so we developed a Maglus to match smaller tablets like the iPad Mini, or Kindle Fire. It's the perfect size for kids too. The Maglus Mini is 15% smaller than the original Maglus but uses the same removable tip system as its bigger sibling - rest assured there's full compatibility with both the current range of tips and the tips we have planned for the future! With the design - we feel we got it right first time, so the Mini doesn't deviate a great deal aesthetically from the original. However, there were challenges we needed to overcome to maintain the weighty feel that made the original Maglus as effective as it is. We feel we met these challenges, and we hope you agree! Also included with all Maglus stylii is an adhesive steel panel so you can store it in even more places. Maglus Mini is a direct response to our customers needs, and we will always endeavor to meet these needs. We look forward to bringing our user community new products in the future that will further enable and enhance their tablet experiences. Please do contact us with any feedback you have - we love to hear from you. Most Reliable Stylus on the Market
The Maglus and the Maglus Mini were reviewed on a website called www.theverge.com and they achieved the highest rating across over 20 pens that claim to do what this pen actually does. This is a verified independent review, I'm not getting any perks for the review, I just wanted to be sure to separate the best from the others. The verge review said it was the most reliable pen so I gave it a try.Just like the review said...perfectly reliable and writes well across multiple surfaces and multiple people. Some anecdotal evidence:I have a droid maxx with a glossy screen protector, an iPad with no screen protector, and a nexus 7 with an anti-glare matte screen protector -- the Maglus writes like a real pen. My 3-year-old draws with it and it doesn't miss a beat regardless of how frenzied the scribbling gets. We tried this with the hard-tip Jot Pro and it made me cringe because that thing could crack a screen in the hands of a child. The size of the Maglus Mini is also is a great way to teach a child to grip a pen.Within the past two months, I bought and returned three stylus pens...Jot Pro, Bamboo Solo, and Bamboo Fineline. The Maglus leaves the others in the DUST.The good news is that it comes with a super heavy duty magnet and I slapped the magnet on the back of a shell case and it was a great move for two reasons. First, the thing stays put, even in a backpack during rush hour on the subway. Second, if you put it on the shell strategically, it props the tablet up in a way that is not awkward...it was almost like the pen was made to do this...very cool feature (the Maglus is sort of square / round). The only thing that is strange is that I'm leaving this at home a lot lately - this is definitely because it does not allow a "hard" tether to a tablet via string or wire (unless I'm missing something). Given that the pen is sort of thick and that it doesn't flow right into the pen holder, I am not using my protective case as much as I want to. It has been sitting at home lately but not because I really want to leave it there, but because it's a bit more challenging to tether than some other pens. Perhaps the developers should try a few popular Nexus cases (I have a MoKo second gen case). The Nexus is going to take over, especially with its price and with Android Lollipop, which is a virtually perfect OS. The Maglus should be designed to play nice with the Nexus, but honestly the magnet allows it to work with any tablet. If it had a way to tether to the pad or was either (a) slimmer or (b) was a bit more tapered up front (to get started into the small pen / stylus slots on carrying cases for smaller tablets) this would be the PERFECT stylus. I got the mini because it seemed like it would be small but it's not that small, so if a slimmer or smaller one comes out, I'd buy it in a second.I'd also recommend saving your time and energy with the keychain. It's sort of a cool idea (you can put stuff in there, not just the extra tips), but put the $$ you save on the keychains into development of a new slim or tethered pen. I'll be your first customer!

Good weight, feels solid, well thought out.
The length is definitely more convenient than a full size. Long enough to hold comfortably, and not so long as to not fit easily in a shirt pocket (without clip). I might want a version that was ~0.5" shorter even, but this is still in the sweet spot.Sides are flat, so it doesn't roll away on a reasonable surface. Has magnets in the flat parts which aid in this as well and are strong enough to place it on various surfaces, but not so strong that it winds up grabbing things unintentionally.Probably the priciest non-active stylus I have seen, but still consider it worthwhile for the quality of the construction/design.Update: The tips do wear out. The first one increased in friction over time making it harder to use precisely. Now after approximately two months, that resistance has dislodged the rubber from the tip base It was only after switching to the second included tip that I realized how degraded the first had become. If the tips only last me a couple of months and depending on cost, I may have to pursue other options.

The Maglus Stylus was everything I expected it to be.
I REALLY love and appreciate the quality of this stylus. A bit pricey than most but worth every penny. I use a stylus all of the time with my tablets and sometimes my phone. I have a jigsaw puzzle program that is quite addictive so I really give this stylus tip a workout. I'd say an average of 2 to 3 hours a day when I'm watching a movie in the evening and working a puzzle at the same time. It has a nice grip and works great. I would highly recommend this stylus. Another thing that drew me to this stylus was the replaceable tip option. In addition to the regular smooth rubber tip, Maglus offers a microfibre relacement tip that is nice as well and is supposedly more durable. Since the regular tip is durable and holding out so well I can't speak for how quickly they wear out.I wanted to be sure to have extra tips on hand so I ordered the microfibre replacement tips through Amazon and the packaging was incorrect so I actually received the normal smooth rubber tips in microfibre replacement tip packaging. But no worries here.....the customer service for both Amazon and Maglus was outstanding and I was able to return the items at no cost to me and did receive the correct tips from the company. The packaging issue was being addressed so I'm sure this will not happen to future customers. Customer service means a lot to me and Amazon has never let me down. Thank you Maglus as well. Since the tips are holding out so well I'm sure it will be a while until I return for more....but I will. Thank you.

but I can tell you that this one works great. I use it to take note in class ...
Now I don't have that much experience with styli (this being the first that I have bought), but I can tell you that this one works great. I use it to take note in class on my iPad mini. It is very responsive and easy to use. The pen fits in my hand nicely and has a nice "heft" to it because of its metal construction. I haven't used the magnet on it too much because my iPad's case already has a strap for styli but I have stuck it to a couple of metal objects just for fun and it holds really well. The one thing that I am not sure about it the longevity of the tips. I just had to replace my first one after a week. However, I am not sure if this is due to the use it gets while i am taking notes (which is considerable, 133 pages this week + 3 doodles ...) or if its demise is more due to the fact that I put the stylus in my backpack without any protection for the tip. I will try to be more careful this time and so that I can make a better determination. Also I just ordered the micro-fiber tips so I might update this when I have used them too. Either way I don't think that you will be disappointed if you buy this stylus, especially if you know before hand that you might need to replace the tips fairly often (depending on how much you use it). Hope this helps :).
