Want to enjoy lovely STEREO music or your favorite podcast in your headset? Or listen to the traffic/terrain warnings from your favorite software app? Maybe help calm a passenger or keep the children busy in the back with music or a movie? The CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter Cable connects any 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo music device (iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, CD player, Garmin with XM radio, etc.) directly between the intercom and your GA (dual plug) headset. In most modern aircraft, the music will be heard through the individual headset it is connected to rather than through the entire intercom system, yet the intercom system still functions properly and you can continue to talk comfortably to your passengers (or the passengers using their own CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter) - anyone with a CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter Cable can listen to their own choice of soothing music while enroute to your destination. In older intercom systems, the music may be heard by either just your front or rear passengers (or both) depending on internal intercom circuitry.Do you have a Bluetooth compatible device? Consider the CRAZEDpilot Bluetooth Headset Interface instead! For best audio level, make sure your levels are all set right. Turn your phone / audio device volume to max, turn your headset clear UP to max, then turn DOWN your intercom volume until it's comfortable but still audible.Audio is always prioritized from the ATC/Intercom from the aircraft - in many devices the audio level of your music input will drop slightly, differing to reception of aircraft audio for maximum safety. Always set your volume levels so as to never inhibit your ability to fly safe!** This device is for listening to audio, it does not support telephone calls through the headset.Make your next flight even more enjoyable for you or your passengers - get a CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter today!

Had noticed that the volume of the radio calls was much quieter and I did not feel comfortable using it in my specific condition
I used it one time so far. Had noticed that the volume of the radio calls was much quieter and I did not feel comfortable using it in my specific condition of flight. If I am on a long cross county with no radio communications at all it would be ideal. It serves its purpose of allowing audio interface, but my biggest issue is that it quiets the radio of the airplane. If this is a normal condition of the product I will live with it. If it is a bad product then I am not sure I would know.

Kinda quiet but still I love it
The music is a little quiet for what I personally would like but overall it works very well and I use it almost every flight.

Exactly what I needed
I have a difficult time staying awake while I’m in the airplane. I recently took a trip with a pilot that likes to set the autopilot and nap so I absolutely needed to stay awake to monitor activity. I was able to plug this into my phone and turn on Netflix so that I could stay awake during the flight. I was still able to hear all radio calls while using this to play audio from my phone.

Connection
Item works well. However, would have liked a straight 3.5 mm plug instead of the angle plug. Greetz.

10 Days...
10 Days...that's how long it lasted before it no longer worked properly. This is day 14. It still works, however I have to fiddle with the wires and set it in an certain position. I have to say I expected this as the wires were quite thin and did not seem robust. That in mind, I took great care to not damage it in any way. Barely moved it any. And it still broke. Very disappointed. Especially given the price. I would not recommend. Highly suggest you find something higher quality/more robust.Update: completely broken after a little less than a month of owning it and using it roughly every other day. I would not recommend this product to anyone, incredibly disappointed.

Basically useless - so quiet you can't hear anything but the aircraft radios.
SUPER quiet. Plugged into my Bose X headset and a 737 and it just doesn't work well. You can hear the aux input but its VERY, VERY quiet, to the point you can't really hear the music.Tried a few phones, ipads, etc, and nothing had a strong enough signal to be heard. On the plus side, it didn't seem to screw with the aircraft system or audio, or block the radios, so that's the 1 star. Basically useless though.

Didn't work for me
Product is a good idea, and where most report that it works well, it did not for me. I'm a corporate mechanic and was going to use this for an over water trip. My pilots could hear my music in third headsets. This was said to not do that, but it did. Unusable for me.
