They work
I bought these to make an Alaska Grow Bucket. If your not sure what they are they show you how to build them on YouTube. These work but stand a good chance of plugging up if you let the water get a little dirty. I've used one all summer with no issues.

Not for my application.
Didn’t work for my application. I naturally assumed with a half inch inlet, there would be good flow. Not at all. After dismantling the valve, I discovered the flow was restricted to a pin hole. These may have been designed to work with water pressure.

wasn't able to use because it was too big for the automatic waterer that I already had.
