I am actually a long time C++ programmer and Bought this book to learn modern c++ as my school only thought me old C++. The best book with learning wise correct order. Best practices are stressed here. Go for it if you want to be serious C++ programmer but consult your syllabus if it incorporates modern standards or not. Then don't use it for academy, but to learn

Good Book
The delivery from amazon.in was fast. I got the book just in 3 days time. The book I received is in top-notch order.The book is good for beginners, having ample examples with thorough discussion on the topics covered. The plus point is that the book also teaches about C++ which is good for a C learner.The C99 standard of C has also been discussed though briefly, but it doesn't affect the overall experience of studying the book, as C99 standard is not that widely accepted yet even after 14 years.
