my baby from the day he was born feels uncomfortable - he was moving and screaming trying to get comfortable position for him, in a midl. of the trip i had to take him to my hands and that is NOT SAFE at all, to sum it up every time i had to go by car somewhere it was stress for me. the position the sit offers for the baby is very bad ! Strongly not recommended!!!!

It Works
Adjusting the straps is imprecise. It is heavy with baby in it and awkward to carry. It can be difficult to adjust the handle, requiring two hands to press buttons in. Handle to take seat off base can be difficult to press. When placing seat in base, at times, it snaps down, jolting the baby. Baby initially cries when placed in it but we do not know if this is the fault of this specific car seat or car seats in general.

love it now that i've gotten used to it!
I had been searching everywhere for a car seat-- I absolutely HATED the cheap flimsy plastic ones that seem to be everywhere, and I fell in love with Peg because of the sleek design and great safety ratings. However, I was so anxious about this car seat after reading the negative reviews that we went to the Peg Perego outlet in Ft. Wayne, IN to see the item for ourselves before committing. We loved it! When we got the new items home, we could not figure out how to latch and unlatch the car seat, or how to attach it to the pliko switch stroller we bought. The instructions were poor, had no words (only pictures), and we were so frustrated. I was ready to take everything back and call it quits. However, once we played around with the seat a bit (this took a few hours and a lot of patience) and figured out how to latch/unlatch/adjust it, we realized how simple and easy the whole thing is! And as a plus, it fits so nicely with the pliko switch stroller (which we LOVE). I adore that this car seat fits up to 30lbs, as pretty much every other seat I found only went to 22lbs. The seat is heavier than other car seats, but it isn't cheap graco-quality plastic and actually feels like it has some durability to it. I have pathetic upper body strength and even I can carry it around without much of a problem. In any case, the seat isn't anywhere near heavy enough to warrant the serious doubts I had based on many of the reviews here. The product gets a 5 for quality and style, and a 3 for ease of instruction, which average to a 4. Also, if you live close to the outlet it is definitely worth a visit--- their prices are much lower and they offer the 2011 models plus have a good return policy.

Satisfied Customer
Wow! I did not expect my order to arrive so soon. I was afraid my baby would arrive before the order, but not.I am very pleased with the car seat and for the price I paid for it. I shopped around for a Peg Perego car seat for months and got the best deal with Comfort First. I look forward to ordering more products from them. Thank you

Makes baby's head fall forward
I was so excited to get this car seat because I had heard great things and it seems really safe and secure. The major problem I am having is that it sits so upright that my infant's head always falls forward - and she really doesn't like to sit in it. It is a real shame because everything else about the seat is great. I even purchased the adapters for the car seat to work with my Stokke stroller.I give it 2 stars because baby is not happy in it, and it seems dangerous for her head, but it is stylish and seems safe in case of an accident.Overall, I don't recommend it.

High quality baby seat but heavy
We have been using this car seat for 3 months now, and overall it was a good investment. It is expensive, but it is also incredibly well-constructed and the safest seat on the market. The fabric is sturdy and fashionable. It is easy to click in and out of the base, and it attaches easily to the car using the Latch system. It is large, and we have to keep the passenger seat of the car pushed a bit further forward than we normally would have, but this is common with car seats. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is that it really is heavy. I ignored other reviewers' complaints about this because I am strong and figured it wouldn't matter. But the seat really is significantly heavier than other seats I have lifted, and it becomes tiring to walk a moderate distance (ie a doctor's office) with the baby in it. Don't get me wrong, I am still glad I purchased it, but if you have weak arms this may not be the seat for you.
