this game is amazing so far.
this game is amazing so far. I've played about 5 hours and they used a full orchestra so the music is amazing as well. it's very metroidvania like where you gain powers and then revisit areas that you've already been to. it's challenging enough that you keep trying, but not so bad that you rage quit.

Classic platforming heaven.
After all is said Ori is one of the best games ever made. The art is exceedingly beautiful. If nothing else the art involves you so much you will want to see what comes next. But this game also happens to be one of the best platforming games ever made as well. Ori really sets an example in the metroidvania genre, and for indie games as a whole. If your game is not only lush and gorgeous but also has competent mechanics, fair difficulty, and exemplary gameplay all around it will succeed.Ori was a Microsoft production, and their dev team has a sequel coming at some point. It's too bad that Nintendo and Sony fans cannot play this unless they have a PC or Xbox, but I fully think it is worth investing the PC platform to own this game. It's that good. A classic of epic proportions. There really are very few flaws in this game. It might be too challenging for some people, and the writing is a little hokey sometimes. I would not say the story is anything too great, but in the end it is a minor problem, and what is there is more than serviceable. You really owe it to yourself as a gamer to experience this outstanding representation of games as art.

Beautiful game
I finally got around to playing this game amongst the many games in my backlog (and completed to 100%). It can be a little challenging for more casual players in the beginning when learning the mechanics of the game works (like when to save if you only have enough energy to save twice). Collecting pieces to level up and upgrade skills was fun though. Very beautiful game and music. Definitely recommend playing with a controller.
