This has worked great with my Sony camcorders for over a year. Never once had any issues at all and I used it 3-5 times every week. However the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I recently switched to a Canon pro camcorder and find it is very unreliable at best. It has even caused my camera to lock up and become unresponsive. So it will be kept in my Sony kit for when I pull that out on shoots that need multiple cameras.

I like this very much. It has a variable zoom which means that you control the zoom speed with the amount of pressure you put on the button. Every once in a while it doesn't function and i have to unplug it and plug it back in but its so far and few between it doesn't bother me too much. No more reaching onto camera when on sticks.

I got this when I couldn't find my favorite Manfrotto LANC controller. It works just fine, and having only the basic controls is actually a plus. If you've operated a studio camera, you'll want separate controls with focus in one hand and zoom in the other. Not the best ergonomics, but that's my only complaint. Solid product, great price.

I use this remote controller with my Canon XA20 camcorder. I rated this at 3 as I'm slightly disappointed in it doesn't always work consistently for the price paid. I've paid slightly higher for VariZoom remote controllers that work consistently. Just be forewarned! The installation was OK.

Is tricky to make it work, strangely and randomly trigger the record/stop button This is connected with a GH4 camera using a power zoom lens

Extremely inconsistent--from the time it came out of the box, I had to plug it in and replug it into my JVC-170. Lately it will just stop working (both zoom and record button). When it does work it's nice--but I can't afford to keep replugging!

Works like a pro. I have a sensitive mic attached to my camera, and this did the trick getting rid of the noise I was making touching the camera for zoom, or pause/record. Sometimes, I have to have the camera turned on first before it works, but that isn't a big deal. The rocker arm for zoom works very well and can do slow zoom/unzoom movements.
