TP-Link TL-SG1008D 8-Port Desktop Switch (Black)

Good quality and value for money for light home or small business networking. Works fine. Gives full performance as per specs.

Installation was a breeze. All of us at home now have wired connections.

I needed a "dumb" switch and locked on to this one after some online research. My only question before buying was if the one on sale on Amazon was the most recent hardware version, i.e. V8 (as indicated on TP Link site). That wasn't indicated anywhere on the product description on Amazon.in.However, Amazon did keep suggesting the one I bought as "a newer model is available". If you know what you are looking for, and this fits the bill, go for it. I was looking for a Gigabit Ethernet switch, to extend my LAN with some more ports. I don't need my switch to manage VLANs or do aggregation or offer a management interface of any kind. And I needed 8-ports. This is perfect for the job.

Works well. Is nice and compact

Its very good no speed drops or latency problems so far and for those who dont know what it is its like a port expander for any lan port you have just plug the cable from your router or any other device and boom now you have 7 more ports you can plug in in any port of it no matter which is in or out my review ends here thanks for reading it all bye bye.

Performing well for my home network... All my floors and rooms now have a Gigabit network. paired it with a mi-router running open WRT.

Works great. I bought this to provide some additional ports to my router. At first it didn't seem to work, all traffic on the connected devices stopped. By trial and error I found out that port 1 must be connected to the router, if you use any other ports for that connection to the router it won't function. I'm not sure if this is intended or there may be a fault with mine, but it works using port 1 for the router connection, so I'm happy with that.

TP-Link makes great home networking gear and this is no change. I plugged this into my TP-Link M5 Deco and about 4 other devices. All devices run at my full internet speed.

This 8 port switch is affordable and works well. Bought this to replace my old switch which had spoilt.
