Vintage Inspired Phone with Rotary Dialing
I love vintage and antique items. I find vintage cradle phones from the 1930's and 1940's especially beautiful with their curvaceous lines and solid bodies. Modern phones are just not that esthetically pleasing. Yes, they are more efficient, but that's all. I wanted a real vintage phone but many that are still left are needing complete overhauls or the ones that have been completely fixed up are incredible expensive. Several years back I found some reproductions, but I don't think rotary dialing was available. Modern phones were made to look like the vintage ones, but they only had the push button dial. I remember rotary dialing when I was a kid. If a reproduction doesn't have rotary dialing, then what's the point?I purchased a new house, so I knew I wanted a landline. I wanted a vintage looking phone so I went searching on the web. I came across many on Amazon and lo and behold there were vintage inspired phones with rotary dialing and also with the unique bell ringing sound of the old phones. I came across this model because it was a great price and had the features that I was looking for. It's not the same as the real thing, but it comes pretty close. It has the look of a 1940's cradle phone, similar weight, rotary dialing and bell tone ringing sound. I'm pretty happy. In the future I'll check this brand for more models.

This classic looking phone actually works well!
Okay, so it is a rotary looking old style phone that actually uses modern touch tone technology to make call and even has a speed last number redial function. It will work on any system that allows a modern phone to work including VOIP phone service!I use it with a magicjack and it works great and makes a cool conversation piece. The way it works is NOT with pulse dial service that the original old rotarty phones used instead you dial the rotary dial with your finger in the correctly numbered hole and as you turn the dial all the way to the end, there is a small metal catch that your finger must depress which creates the correct tone for dialing, it even has a "#" and a "*" that rotary phones never had. So they really can be used for making any type of call in a modern world yet have the authentic feel of the rotary phones from yesteryear's gone by.It also feels substantial like an older phone would have making the hand-piece comfortable to hold and use.I highly recommend this for the affordable price, you won't regret it.The only problem you might experience is if you intend to use this as an extension phone at the same time as others are talking on another extension at the same time, then the volume becomes pretty low, I suspect it is because modern voip systems don't supply enough current to power more than one phone at a time unless the phones are connected to power and supply their own current for functioning. You can have it hooked up as a second or third phone with no problem as long as you don't talk on it at the same time as others are on another extension phone on that line (if your phone line doesn't supply enough current as my magicjack and most VOIP systems don't).

Died quickly and shotty sound
I loved the look of this phone and for a little while it worked with my cell2jack. Unfortunately the whole phone stopped working for several months. I decided to try it again and got the speaker working, but the handset no longer works unless the speaker is also on. Not worth the price for something that will only last a few months. Even when the handset/earpiece worked, it was scratchy and too quiet, and you’d lose sound completely if you moved the cord too much.

Antique Looking Classy Modern Rotary Phone
I needed to replace our old trimline landline phone because it was just a temporary phone until we could get a nicer one. With that said, I started my hunt for a classic rotary phone and this one was the first I came across! So glad I did. It had a video to it so I clicked on it right away and was pleasantly pleased at what I saw. What a nice phone. The ringer is perfect (sounds like an old antique phone) and the front dial is beautiful and very well made. I just got the phone and have started using it for a couple of days. So far it works perfectly. What I like most about it is it's not a cheap light feeling phone. It's heavy and durable. This attractive phone looks and feels like it will withstand the test of time. I highly recommend this phone and the Seller! Fast shipping, packaged to perfection and exactly as described. Many Thanks to the Seller for their outstanding Customer Service. I'm very pleased to say the least.Peace and Love to all <3 Stay Safe out there.OPERATION OF PHONE: From User Manual with the Phone- Receiving a Call (Pick up handset on the phone when the phone rings and place handset back on the phone when finished)- Handfree Function (the center button is a handfree key. When receiving a call or dialing a call you can press it to release handfree function)- Dialing a Call (use the rotary dial on the front of the phone to call out numbers - very easy/user friendly)- Redial Function (after dialing the number- Extensions/Switches (these are not available)
