This watch does not need to be winded,and does require a battery, incl. nice watch with helpful light up feature when you press on button.

Push in the button on the right of your watch, the same button you pull out to change the time, & a light comes on. **L

Yes, I think so. Go to Timex.com and look at the watches or call their toll free number which is listed on Timex.com and ask a rep. I myself called about something recently and they were nice and easy to talk with. I had a watch like you want at one time. I think it did have a second hand tho. Just ask them about that.
