Q: Can anyone compare the play value to the bilibo for a 4 and an 8 year old?

Bilibo seems more open-ended. I've seen kids wear it on their heads as a hat/mask, use it as a pretend soup pot or doll bed, sit in it to spin or slide in the snow, and so on. This toys seems like it would be similar in theory, but it doesn't get the mileage that Bilibo does. They sit in it to rock or occasionally turn it over and use it as an arched seat, but not much beyond that. It doesn't get as much use as a balance board as I thought it would. If I were picking one or the other, I would go with Bilibo. It's my favorite "gift basket" to fill with smaller toys for young children, with the basket itself having great play value.

Q: How is the “newer model” different? I was looking at the blue one, but there is a link to this “newer model” green one. They look the same(?)

Sorry I don’t know the difference. I didn’t know there was a newer model.

Q: Can it be used for sledding as well?

No, it has suction cups on the bottom to keep toddlers from hurting themselves. It can be used for lounging, balancing and my granddaughter has even put it across the tub and used it to hold her tub toys.

Q: DOES it work on carpeting?

It dosent pop on carpeting but does rock.

colourful and sturdy

The teeter rocker is attractive to look at and will appeal to children. It is sturdy and well made. Christmas present so hasn’t been tried yet but I’m sure my granddaughter will have great fun with it!

Great product

Great product which arrived on time. Daughter loves rocking backwards and forwards on it. Personally the popping is annoying but daughter is willing to do it on the carpet.

Fun

Excellent fun, kids love the noise it makes on the floor. The suckers pop and it also keeps it more stable on the laminate. Arrived on time, nice and sturdy

Bought as a gift for my grandson he absolutely loves it spins in it and balances by rocking. It certainly gives him a good workout
