First impressions seem good.
UPDATE after 1 week. After changing my UK to 2 pin adaptor, the supplied charger now consistently charges at 3 Amps. I have also tested it using a USB C PD charger in my car and this gives a good 2 Amps....Still doesn't really like older QC 2 or 3 chargers but I now have no concerns over the ability to charge it.In standard daily use from 100% charge at 0700, it normally still has 70% odd by bedtime and, if not charged overnight, still has 65% the following morning so it would easily cope with a weekend away off power if required. In light of this I've added a 5th star to the review.I've only had this phone for a few days so this review is mainly first impressions. In summary:+Good battery life+Seems well built+Great fingerprint reader+Good reception+Dual SIM and SD card support-Too big / heavy for some?-Appears to have some android options disabled-Seems fussy about chargers / chargingFirst things first...this is a big heavy phone! I was happy with this but be aware that it is significantly heavier that other large phones which may rule it out for some people.I am fed up of my battery struggling to make it through the day and wanted a big battery and chose a "rugged" phone so I wouldn't worry about breaking an unusual phone that no-one could repair. It fits in probably a very small niche...an expensive "cheap Chinese phone" but I did some research on the other blackview phones available and decided to give it a try.The build quality appears to be very good and it certainly doesn't look cheap the packaging looks good and I was pleased to see it came with a variety of extras that these days seem to be left out including a charging lead, charger, usb c adapter and even a little screwdriver to take the SIM cover off.The only slight disappointment was that the charger is a 2 pin unit and needs an adapter for UK sockets. The setup and the auto NFC data transfer worked fine and I left the phone overnight to download all the apps etc and "sort itself out"The next morning when I put my SIM in, I was pleased to note that I got a strong 4G signal where usually I have no reception at all...I'm guessing that it is using additional frequency bands to my previous phone. The dual SIM is very handy especially as you can still use an SD card too. This is the first time I've used android 8.1 and it seemed that a lot of setup options I am used to did not exist (for example the home screen settings menu) a Google search suggests these should be present so it is possible that these options have been disabled for some reason. I downloaded Nova launcher which allowed me to setup my screens just as I like them so this isn't an issue for me but may be for others. The fingerprint reader is on the side of the phone but works really well and is very intuitive after the first couple of times it's used...vastly better than the Samsung version on my work phone. This phone is all about the battery so how does it perform? Well I received the phone in the evening with 100% charge and spent a good hour or so setting it up a playing about with it before leaving it downloading all my apps and media overnight. The next morning it was at 75%, reasonably heavy use throughout the day took it to 23% at bedtime which is approx 75% in 24 hours including significant periods downloading. It's too early to say how this will settle down but I'd say it should do 2 days fairly easily and more if you are careful. The downside to a big battery is the charging time....I used a standard qc3 charger but this only charged from 25% to 55% overnight!Digging out an adaptor to use the included charger and lead was a bit more successful but this phone appears to be really particular about charging. At best the provided charger charges at nearly 3.5A but can drop to a fraction of this seemingly at random...I will keep an eye on this an update accordingly but this does not appear to be a phone that you can charge in a couple of hours.I bought the 9500 pro because it had more ROM /RAM than the 9500...It certainly seems fast but I haven't anything to compare it with to say if the extra is worth it. The other "advantage" of the pro is the built in walkie talkie...I haven't yet used this and it is a very niche feature...the downside is that everyone you press the PTT button it launches the app...this happens regularly if the phone is kept in a pocket and I can't figure out a way to disable it. With this in mind, the 9500 may be a better option (and significantly cheaper) if you don't really need the extra RAM.I haven't yet tested the water resistance and don't intend to test the drop proofing but I can see no reason why either of these would not work...if that changes I'll update the review accordingly. To conclude, it's a distinctive, well built, decent performing phone that will get you through the heaviest of days without running out of power. It has a few niggles hence the 4 stars but overall I'm very impressed by it.

Tough but not so tough....
I was very impressed with the phone. it got dropped and got wet.... and then one day it got water inside it and stopped charging. a few days later it fell out of my pocket and the screen cracked. I emailed Blackview to enquire about repairs yet did not receive a reply 2 weeks later.
