The theme of crime and punishment is an old and tried path for books and movies. But what I experienced while reading this book has taken me off guard and shaken me to the core. I will obviously refrain from retelling the plot, but I can guarantee the unsuspecting reader a stormy, emotional ride filled with unimagined turns and twists. The story manages several intertwined plot lines. You will never guess how this book ends, but I can guarantee that when you reach the final chapter, what you will find there will change your life. This is one of those reads that you are not going to forget before the next morning coffee. The story makes you shiver and it makes you think. Peter Hulsman has not only successfully constructed a rich plotline, but has also masterfully connected the dots and shone his x-ray light on some serious social issues. He has clearly mastered the subject area and spent ample amounts of time researching every detail. Much of today’s literature is filled with so much garbage. Yet, Hulsman was able to elevate his text to the heights of the English language seen only in modern masters of the genre. You will like his dialogue, you will appreciate his brisk action scenes, and by the end of the book, you will see how all the little pieces of the story will be strung together like the delicate beads of a fine necklace.

Great book. Very well written. Once you start, it's hard to put it down, just want to keep reading.

I loved this book. It was a page turner. This book has a really good plot. I'll be watching for more from this author.
