One of the best
This story was read with my 8 year old minecraft addict. He loved this story and says that it's one of the best stories he's read!

Book is super good, I'd recommend it for ages 6-10 especially for those little kids who are starting to learn they can read around a chapter every day

This is by far my favorite book that I've read from M.C. Steve! It was relatable from the very first line where Alex has a killer headache (I've had migraines for years), all the way to the end where she (I also really liked that this story features a girl, though with a name like Alex I didn't immediately realize that) departs from Steve, with whom she has a sibling-like relationship. This one was also funnier than the other ones I've read. My favorite line? "What kind of monster tries to hurt a girl's feet? A really short one, maybe" (It's from the Day 4 chapter). The author probably didn't intend it this way, but I think it makes a great joke, which I used to make my family (and myself, of course) laugh.I also want to say that the conclusion was good - I was a little disappointed with the last book I read from M.C. Steve because it suddenly ended right as I was really getting into it, but this one has the classic wind-down with a setup for another book, so I'm happy with it.The one thing I would suggest be changed is how often Alex says that she'll write tomorrow. She said that at the end of nearly every chapter, if not every chapter, and considering how short most of the chapters are, it was a little too much. Doesn't take away from the story, though, so it's not a huge issue.
