My Best Guitar Blues Book
This book is packed full of explanations and music and is very nicely laid out visually. I'm especially pleased at how the music is in regular music notation on staves, as well as tabs style, plus chord fingerings are shown on the fretboard as well. There is enough information here to keep me studying and practicing for a long time. My only disappointment was that the title mentioned Bebop and I was hoping it covered the Bebop jazz of the '40s and '50, but it but I'm not sure yet how much it has. I haven't seen it actually mentioned in the text. That's okay, I have some other books that explain that and it's just a niche interest of mine but probably not most people's. I was able to easily download all the music in a zip file from the web address in the book but I haven't listened to them yet. I had the book put into a comb binding so I can open it fully on a music stand where I want to practice to read and play by the notes on the staff. I'm very satisfied with this book for learning jazz and blues on the guitar and glad to have it! I imagine that all the company's other books are just as good.

A method that finally makes sense!
I predominantly play rock, funk, country etc Jazz is my bucket list style left to learn. This book is helping me create legitimate jazz lines and the mixing of blues and jazz is a combination that is actually making sense. I have been studying this book for 5-7 hours per night, and I am finally feeling comfortable improvising without sounding like a total beginner. I highly recommend Jazz Bebop Blues Guitar to anyone that wants to cut through the monotony and confusion of traditional jazz books!!

Very helpful and intuitive
This books is a great add to my collection. It is well written and helps to explain some ideas that I previously thought were much more complex than they turned out to be. The book gets you the sounds straight away without having to memorise new licks.

Great book for blues players looking to expand into jazz
The material in this book is presented in a progressive and methodical manner. Emphasis is placed on understanding the material. Many examples are given, and being able to listen to the recorded examples helps to reproduce the phrasing and feel of the lines. A great book and recordings for blues players looking to add some jazz to their playing. Heartily recommended.

Clear, articulate access to the sounds of the masters with examples
This is a very good book that explains and demonstrates techniques that produce the hip outside sound so many Jazz guitar greats used in their improvisations. The lines included in the book are outstanding examples of scale selection and tasteful ornamentation.Even the chord choices and comping in the backing tracks are cool sounding and instructive.Bravo!

Jazz substitution secrets
A really clear explanation and then application of chord/arpeggio substitutions in a blues context. These ideas achieve that cool bebop sound. Finally I understand what my heroes like Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, etc were all doing. And the beauty is that applying these substitutions is nowhere as hard as I had feared!

Sincerely recommend
Everything that comes out of the pen of Joseph Alexander, his friends and co-authors in this publishing house, is worthy of your attention. And this book is no exception. It thoroughly and expertly described all the features bebop style of blues. Many examples and their explanations make the book understandable for guitarists, even with a low knowledge of the theory of bebop and jazz in general. Personally, I found it a lot useful information with which to work for many months or years. I sincerely recommend it to everyone.
