Trelock RS 350 Bicycle Frame Lock

Awesome device that provides added peace of mind when combined with my other bike locks, quick and painless assembly, stable during transit.The only reason its not 5 stars is because the quality of the securing mechanism, the screws are made from plastic. Not sure why on such a quality lock they would go on the cheap with the equally important attachment components. I mean for the price it's decent so don't get me wrong, i'll buy this again and again. 4 months, 2 rear flats and 700 kilometers later no issues, so if you never need to remove it the thing should last forever, but if you for some reason remove it frequently i.e. to another bike, or to fix the brakes...i think after 7 or 8 times your gonna need to replace the screws or the device.

Beware of stripping out the threads on plastic band that wraps around bike frame. They are made out of plastic and the bands are very stiff plastic. If the threads were made out of metal or bands more flexible, it would have worked ok. It's rated as 3 for security but the one I have is a 1. It's too much of a hassle to return for a refund. I'll have to spend 20 bucks more for a more secure lock.

This is not meant to be a replacement, or an alternative, to a heavy duty U lock. It is a lite duty, "casual theft deterrent" lock(says so right on the package!). I use it in conjunction with my heavy duty U lock and a steel cable when I ride to work. I also use it with a lite duty cable lock when I run to the store or library just so I don't always have to cart around the heavy U lock. Works just fine for me. Went on the frame just fine, no problems.

Gut verarbeitetes Rahmenschloss. Der Schlüssel ist im geöffneten Zustand abziehbar (gut, wenn mann den Schlüssel auf einen Schlüsselbund hängen möchte). Die Montage ist einfach und für ein MTB mit 2.1 Zoll breiten Reifen gut machbar - dank der vormontierten Kunststoff Laschen am Schloss - auch für einen Rahmen ohne Vorsehung für ein Rahmenschloss! Abzug gibt es für den Umstand, dass man beim Abschließen beiden Hände benötigt. Eine um den Schlüssel und das Schloss zu stecken, diesen dann um ca. 90 grad verdrehen und gleichzeitig (mit der andern Hand) den Bügel zu schließen. Mühsam und unnötig... Speziell wenn man ein Kleinkind im Schlepptau hat. Die Idee der Sicherung gegen unerlaubtes Schließen des Schlosses mag zwar einen gewissen Sinn haben - aber nachdem das Rad bei Verlassen abgesperrt wird, ist dieses "Zusatzfeature" wohl ziemlich sinnlos.

Blocco ruota molto comodo e veloce. Montato risulta discreto anche se ben visibile, ed è bene che lo sia.Naturalmente non è l'antifurto principale, ma è molto comodo quando si parcheggia la bici per pochi minuti o si resta nelle vicinanze, es. piccoli acquisti in negozio o la più classica tappa al bar.Dove bisogna lasciare la bici a lungo uso altri due lucchetti per ruota anteriore e telaio e con questo che blocca la ruota posteriore mi sento tranquillo. Nel caso di un ladro veramente intenzionato non credo di poter evitare il furto, ma almeno che fatichi un pò.

Ich habe mir das Trelock RS 350 gekauft um mein neues Rad zusätzlich gegen Diebstahl abzusichern.Leider ist die Qualität und die Verarbeitung des Schlosses mieserabel.Zum einen hat sich während der Montage die Plastikverkleidung gelöst und hat anschließend auch nicht mehr sauber zusammen gepasst, mit offenem Gehäuse wird das Ding vermutlich bald durchrosten... Allerdings hatte ich es nur ein paar Minuten dran, daher kann ich darüber nichts sagen..Außerdem sind die Stellschrauben der Variohalter ZR20 aus Plastik, und das ist so weich, dass ich es sogar mit meinem Fingernagel eindrücken konnte. Bei der Demontage war die Schraube dann auch schon so kaputt, dass ich es nur mit Mühe wieder auf bekommen habe. Die "Schrauben" sind allenfalls einmalig zu benutzen....Was noch dazukommt ist das trotz der Balloon-Ausführung mein Reifen mit 54mm breite (Michelin Country Race R 2.10) kaum Platz links und rechts hatte... Ob dies irgendwann zu Problemen führt, kann ich wie gesagt nicht sagen da ich das Schloss nur ein paar Minuten montiert hatte und nicht herumgefahren bin.Habe das ganze Teil nun zurückgeschickt und werde mich nach einem anderen Anbieter umsehen.

Also ich kann den Vorednern nicht zustimmen. Habe ein Cityrad mit Balloonreifen ( Reifengröße 29,2) Das Schloss ist schnell anzubringen und funktioniert super. Ich würde es immer wieder kaufen.Und wenn Frau es anbringen kann frage ich mich was Mann da falsch macht ;-)

Auf den ersten Blick ein wirklich toll verarbeitetes Schloss mit ausgeklügelter Befestigung. Nur schleifen meine Super Balloon 26x2,35 in der Zange.Also zurück geschickt. Etwas schmalere Reifen hätten funktioniert, aber genau das war ja der Witz, warum ich mir dieses Schloss bestellt hatte....
