Bought on 22 February 2016.Pictures are after 1 year wear.Over a year of usage and now I am writing this review.Overall, The mice is good. Not suited for people who use computer / laptop a lot. The rubber grip wears off pretty fast.I have owned mice from Logitech, Cooler Master, MadCatz and Steelseries. I would say, Steelseries lasted over a year before giving any problems (like the middle mouse button tends to double click on a single click).For anyone who uses a PC for over 6 hours a day, I wouldn't recommend this mouse. I used this mouse for over 12 hours a day.

Fast delivery by Amazon. Perfect mid-range gaming mouse.. I compared a lot of gaming mouse in the range of 3-4k and finally decided to go for this. It's basically a old unit of the present Rival 300.. Got it for Rs3200 and I'm very happy with the deal. But you could tell the product was lying around collecting dust in the shelves for some time. No faults beneath the dust though. Overall had it been right off the assembly line I would be 100% satisfied but given the price I'm ready for a little compromise. 90% satisfaction for me. Kudos Amazon.. :)Coming to the product:You get a maximum of 6500 cpi/dpi and a minimum of 400. The light around the mouse wheel and the logo are separately customizable (any colour you can think of) and they are pretty bright. Looks really cool nothing functional. It's pretty light and fits well in your 'RIGHT' hand (it's not an ergonomic mouse). The rubberized material is probably long lasting but doesn't give you a premium feel you expect for the price tag. All over great product from SteelSeries. Also the 2 years warranty is a peace of mind. Hopefully won't have to claim it. :)

In my opinion this is one of the best optical mouse out there for people who prefer claw grip though it can also be good for palm grip if you have large handsYes this a larger than average mouse which is what I was looking for as I have large hands and prefer claw gripThe rubber grip on the sides won't disappoint you though how long the rubber will last is something to wonderThe button placements didn't disappoint me either and it hardly took any effort to get used to it though it might not be the case with everyoneTweaking the DPI with SteelSeries engine software is easy and you can save them for each game instead of changing them every time!And yes you can customize the SteelSeries LED logo which can be handy if you work/game in dark

Mouse is a bit big than others.Not a problem for claw grippers.Can be customisable using Steelseries Engine.Used for 5 months now.Doesn't skip a click.If it does,exchange with a new one immediately.BOTTOM LINE : Best FPS mouse till date for right-handers.

Al momento in cui viene scritta questa recensione, il mouse si presenta come uno dei tool di più recente uscita sul mercato. Il prezzo concorrenziale e le sue caratteristiche sono rappresentative del suo nome: "Rival". SteelSeries ha voluto creare un mouse che potesse concorrere con i concorrenti sul mercato, e che li superasse in quanto a prestazioni.CONFEZIONE: simpatico la chiusura a strip nella confezione, non troppo rilevante perché dubito che la userete se non per restituire o rivendere il prodotto. Nel primo caso, assicuratevi di aprire con cautela la confezione, ho trovato difficoltà a svolgere questa mansione senza tangere la scatola.DESIGN: il mouse è compatto e solido, forse non come un Corsair top gamma o un logitech (naturalmente dipende dai casi), ma non appare nemmeno come fragile e plasticoso (nonostante sia, naturalmente, costituito da plastica primarimanete). Sembra un po' più solido del mouse più venduto e più famoso sul mercato: il Razer Deathadder. I tasti laterali, innovativi nella loro costruzione, risultano soliti e ben costruiti. La linea é snella e come affermato dalla casa produttrice, il mouse dovrebbe essere studiato da gamer al fine di poter essere comodo e bello a vedersi. La possibilità di cambiare (o disattivare) il colore del logo e della rotella è interessante, sicuramente una feature simpatica, per quanto non essenziale.IMPUGNATURA: se utilizzate un palm grip, questo mouse vi asseconderà sicuramente. Dopo le critiche volte al Sensei, mouse indirizzato prevalentemente all'utenza claw grip, SteelSeries ha prodotto un mouse palm grip dopo il suo predecessore, l'Ikari. Abituato a un Claw Grip non ho trovato particolarmente traumatico il passaggio, il mouse non è così alto da far soffrire l'utente per un'impugnatura imperfetta. In quanto a lunghezza, il Rival si presenta come uno dei mouse più lunghi, se non il più lungo, attualmente disponibili sul mercato, di conseguenza vi suggerisco di acquistarlo solo in caso abbiate mani relativamente grandi. I tasti risultano comodi per gli utenti con dita particolarmente affusolate.CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE: il mouse si presenta come un degno rivale dei concorrenti sul mercato nella stessa fascia di prezzo. Il sensore è uno dei migliori (attualmente) disponibili sul mercato, dotato della possibilità di arrivare fino a 6500 cpi di sensibilità (alle volte troverete questa feature menzionata come 'dpi'). Se giocate solo a rts e moba non avrete bisogno di arrivare così in alto, ma per giochi fps risulta essere molto comodo, e in effetti molti recensori hanno mostrato questo mouse come perfetto per i giochi del genere sparatutto. Tuttavia, ritengo che possa essere un mouse utile a qualunque tipo di utenza, al di là del design accattivante ma elegante (non "tamarro", concedetemi il termine), la facilità nella configurazione e le feature incluse (accelerazione/decelerazione, angle snapping e configurazione di macro) ne fanno un ottimo canditato all'utilizzo quotidiano.IL SOFTWARE: il software, scaricabile dal sito di SteelSeries, è di facile utilizzo. Il mouse non possiede, per necessità della sua fascia di prezzo, una memoria interna, per cui le impostazioni relative allo stesso potranno essere applicate solo attraverso il software, ovvero spostando il mouse su un altro pc dovrete settare nuovamente le impostazione preferite. Pare che molti utenti abbiano avuto problemi di mancata configurazione delle macro a seguito dell'aggiornamento alla versione di firmware più recente, nel caso sia il vostro caso, è possibile effettuare facilmente un downgrade del firware al fine di riportare il dispositivo allo stato originario. Se possedete un pc particolarmente vecchio vi consiglio di abbassare il Polling Rate del mouse da 1000 Hz a un qualcosina di meno, da 300 in su, in modo da non far pedalare troppo il vostro vetusto personal computer.GIUDIZIO PERSONALE: ho testato ad oggi il mouse con giochi come Counter Strike, LoL, Starcraft, e uno svariato numero di giochini indie di vari generi, e posso dire che per quanto questi giochi non richiedano particolari dispositivi per essere giocati, mi sono trovato molto bene. Il rivestimento in gomma del mouse lo rende comodo per sessioni prolungate e così la sua forma (a meno che non lo impugniate relativamente male come me, ma in ogni caso non sentirete dolore alla mano). Anche con programmi di foto ritocco come Adobe Photoshop il mouse si comporta bene, rivelandosi un fidato compagno. Ho trovato utile la feature di Angle Snapping con software come Adobe Illustrator.In conclusione, se cercate un buon mouse con caratteristiche veramente competitive, forse avete trovato l'oggetto che cercavate, in caso contrario, buona ricerca! :)

J'ai dû remplacer ma Roccat Savu (sous garantie), dont la partie led était devenue défaillante. J'étais fan de cette souris (précise, jolie, bel éclairage led, bon driver, câble tressé, etc.), mais bon, elle m'a plaqué au bout de quatre mois, et la prise en claw grip était aussi un peu fatigante. D'où son remplacement par la Steelseries Rival depuis quelques jours. Objectivement une merveille (du moment qu'elle continue à fonctionner), sauf la partie led, franchement loupée.Donc, les plus :+ : souris optique très précise (tout ce qui est laser, non merci, sauf évidemment s'il n'y a pas le choix)+ : chouettes boutons, efficaces et silencieux (globalement, la souris sait se faire oublier)+ : le driver SteelSeries Engine 3 est exceptionnel (sauf les fautes d'orthographe en français, au 17/02/2014) et à lui seul justifie l'achat d'une souris Steelseries. Les graphistes amateurs apprécieront la possibilité de limiter les tremblements de la souris, et on se surprend à tracer des droites en mode point à point dans les logiciels de dessin - je n'avais encore jamais vu ça). L'accélération et la décélération se gèrent aussi, c'est génial. Bref, c'est très customisable. De plus, le driver de prend que 10 Mo de RAM et il ne plante pas (ici, sous Windows 8.1 64 bits).+ : L'illumination fixe par led est satisfaisante+ : polling rapide (1000)+ : la souris se manipule facilement, on l'oublie (prise en palm grip uniquement, c'est une énorme et lourde souris qui ne convient pas aux petites mains - une Roccat Savu sera alors plus indiquée, par exemple)+ : société danoise, en Europe, donc+ : changement facile entre deux configurations DPI (petit bouton central à cet effet)Ce que je n'ai pas aimé :- : le prix, forcément- : le cordon USB n'est pas tressé.- : un gros moins : l'illumination led, quand elle n'est pas fixe, est objectivement horrible. En mode breathing, l'illumination cycle bien, mais est vacillante, on a l'impression que la souris va rendre l'âme. Bref, c'est poussif. L'illumination de la Roccat Savu, c'est un autre monde, honnêtement (enfin, tant que cela fonctionne).Sinon, je n'ai pas essayé la partie macro, n'en ayant pas besoin. Et concernant 6400 de sensitivité... c'est déjà trop réactif pour moi à 2000, donc, certes c'est bien, mais un peu gadget tout de même (ceci dit, je dois admettre que, côté marketing, ça attire l'attention, surtout pour une souris optique).Que dire d'autre ? J'utilise la souris sur un tapis Razer Goliathus Control, que demander de mieux ? Pour ceux qui doutent, je dirais que c'est franchement un autre monde que les souris à 5 euros posées sur le bureau... Il est (très) dur de s'en passer ensuite.Conclusion : Très content. Ah, je me demande juste si la Steelseries Kana v2 ne m'aurait pas plu encore davantage. Mais bon, là, je chipote.

J'ai commander ma souris sur Amazon et l'ai reçu très rapidement comme d'habitude.Colis intact, souris emballé soigneusement pour évité les choc de transport.Concernant la souris, je peux vous dire qu'elle corresponds parfaitement aux attentes des joueurs, j'ai eu à mon actif plusieurs souris, dont différente marque tel que Razert ou encore Zowie.J'ai acheté la steelseries rival pour deux raisons, l'une étant que ma souris zowie décroché sur mon tapis quand j'effectuer des mouvements trop rapides, l'autre et que j'ai déjà eu des steelseries et n'a jamais été déçu de cette marque.Plus de détail sur la souris :Ergonomie parfaite pour les droitiers, revêtement de qualité et robuste à la fois, les cotés antidérapant ne sont pas parfait, mais dépasse de loin la concurrence et son vraiment agréable au toucher.Le capteur et très bon, première partie effectuer et les résultats sont la ! Autant pour le tir en précision que pour le contrôle de vos balles.Les boutons additionnels sur le coté (pouce) sont de vrai boutons, il sont facile d'accès et très fonctionnel.Hardware et personnalisation :Steelseries vous propose un logiciel qui va en ravir plus d'un, en effet, vous aurez la possibilité de configurer vos DPI, votre accélération, décélération, l'accrochage d'angle et enfin le taux de rafraîchissement.Deux options s'ajoute également :Les macros et les couleurs.Concernant la couleur, je souhaite défendre cette partie qui à, je trouve, été sauvagement négative sur certain commentaire.Je peux vous assurer qu'il y en à plus qu'il n'en faut, steelseries vous propose un panel de couleurs similaires au logiciel graphique, donc pour trouver sa couleur aucune difficulté. Vous aurez également la possibilité de choisir entre 3 effet, statique, respiration et enfin diaporama de couleurs (couleurs qui change).Coté prix :Une souri set son tapis est pour moi l'élément essentiel pour un gamer, de ce fait, vu le prix du marché de la souris, 60€ est une moyenne correct. Mais ne vous trompez pas, la steelseries rival vous en donne pour votre argent, vous êtes content de l'avoir en main et de savoir que vous avez investi dans quelque chose et non pas gâcher votre argent dans quelque chose :).Ma note :J'ai mis les 4 étoiles (j'adore) car c'est le mot je l'adore, maintenant pour qu'elle soit parfaite, il ne reste qu'un dernier critère, la durée de vie.Pour les intéressés je suis un joueurs cs depuis 2005, actuellement global elite sur cs:go et le test c'est porter sur ce jeu.Bon achat à vous,Merci amazon,Peace !

Dopo un'accurata ricerca ho deciso di optare per questo mouse da gioco lanciandomi su una nuova casa produttrice, la Steelseries.Arrivavo da un'esperienza Razer che non mi ha soddisfatto del tutto... Ero solito utilizzare l'Imperator, ma il primo ha incominciato a non funzionare più all'improvviso mostrando problemi di connettività con momenti di blocco del mouse inspiegabili. Le ho provate tutte aggiornato driver e firmware resettandlo, ma niente.. ho dovuto sostituirlo con un altro più avanzato che, dopo pochi mesi di utilizzo, ha iniziato a mostrare problemi alla rotellina... Anche molti anni fa ho avuto un mouse razer (di cui non ricordo il nome) che ha smesso di funzionare all'improvviso... Insomma uno spreco di soldi!!!Ero stufo e ho cercato qualcosa di nuovo lanciandomi su Steelseries.Dopo due mesi di utilizzo posso trarre le mie conclusioni.Il mouse è molto semplice, dotato di 5 tasti e per mani medio grandi con presa intermedia tra palm e grip, ma penso si adatti meglio a giocatori abituati a presa palm. Il pollice poggia su un materiale che dona un ottimo grip e una presa sicura.La rotellina risponde benissimo e la trovo ben tarata e resistente. I tasti Mouse1 e Mouse2 mostrano un'ottima reattività e la pressione da esercitare è minima, ma tastabile (è difficile premerli per sbaglio). Anche i due tasti laterali fanno il loro lavoro, ma a me capita spesso di premerli involontariamente durante un movimento veloce (ma questo dipende dalla presa che si usa...).La connettività è ottima, il mouse non si blocca mai neanche se il Pc va in stand by. Il software di utilizzo è semplicissimo (forse anche troppo) e intuitivo e ben funzionale. E' possibile impostare due valori di dpi selezionabili col tastino sopra la rotellina, spaziando fino ad un massimo di 6500 ed è possibile impostare la frequenza in Hz fino a 1000. Si può modificare anche l'accelerazione, decelerazione e il sensore del movimento mouse (io non li uso) e si possono creare macro. Infine è possibile modificare i colori dell'illuminazione e se tenerla fissa o intermittente.Conclusioni: ottimo mouse, stabile forte e reattivo. Pensato principalmente per gli fps sparatutto, ma rende molto anche su rpg e giochi low sens...utile anche per programmi di editing immagini/foto ecc.Importante la scelta del mouse pad per ottenere il massimo dal mouse: l'ideale è un pad medio liscio come il razer goliathus, altrimenti si può restare sui pad casa steelseries e si va sul sicuro.Personalmente consiglio questo mouse come alternativa ai classiconi commerciali casa Razer, ma non do' 5 stelle perchè il software manca di importanti aspetti come l'on the fly sensitivity e la possibilità di switchare tra almeno 3 step di sensibilità dpi, secondo me molto utile. Sotto questo punto di vista probabilmente il deathadder vince, ma non ho avuto modo di constatarlo.In ogni caso gran prodotto, lo consiglio per la sua resistenza, qualità ed affidabilità.

I love Steelseries gear. Most of what they make is very robust, practical and beautiful, and most importantly available at a reasonable price; the Rival is certainly no exception to this trend. After managing to get some gunk in the scroll wheel mechanism of my Corsair M65, I resolved to head back to Steelseries. Firstly, the ergonomics. Most Steelseries mice are ambidextrous in nature, such as the entry-level Kinzu and the high-end Sensei. This is great in that there's no discrimination against lefties, but I found them quite hard to use for long periods of time as a right-hander, even though I have small hands. With there being no place to rest the palm comfortably in a shape that fits the hand, my Kinzu v2 was never my favourite peripheral and I found myself pining for the days of my old Logitech G700, or even the less ergonomic G9. The Rival is a huge improvement over the rest of the contemporary Steelseries line for right-handed comfort. It is well-sized for a range of hands and offers superb grip, with a sturdy, studded rubber finish along the sides, soft-touch material along the top and an arching design that supports claw or resting grips. However, whilst the soft-touch surface is gorgeous, I have found that after just a few days of use there is a noticeable mark where my index finger rests, and I'm sure that more will follow in less frequently used points. It's a minor grievance, since it's still great to hold and look at and any HID, no matter the finish, will suffer wear and tear due to mechanical action and chemicals in the skin, but perhaps a matte or glossy finish would hold up better on a successor. The mouse is extremely precise, and I've not experienced any acceleration on my QcK mousepad. Rather than having a graded DPI toggle with three or five different stored settings, you can only store two at any one time, but frankly that's enough for most uses. The main and side buttons are satisfying both in touch and sound, and are fully customisable through the excellent SteelSeries Engine software that many peripherals use. The scroll wheel is nice and quiet, but I would have loved the option to unlock it into a free-spin mode for web browsing. My favourite thing about this mouse would have to be the colour customisation. The Steelseries logo and the scroll wheel have separate lighting zones that can be illuminated with any one of millions of colours, selectable from an RGB palette in the SteelSeries Engine. Unlike some other mice such as the G9, the lighting used gets very close to what you have selected in the software, and I've tried out everything from dark grey to bright white to great effect. If you're a right-hander who wants a very well-built, accurate and customisable mouse, you would do well to buy the Rival. There are minor points to improve upon such as maybe changing the top surface to a lacquer or matte finish, but I can't fault SteelSeries much when they have delivered such a great product.
