Fantastic
Got a lot of Le creuset stuff very good, yes they r expensive but they r quality I have cups pots pans egg cups and this frying pan. What u need to remember with the cast iron stuff u need to season them. This is where u need to let a natural layer coating build up. Can’t really explain it but over a few weeks it becomes none stick. At first it terrible everything sticks. If u r not familiar with the process u would think it rubbish. But it’s not u have to allow what the call seasoning then magic. It’s a very heavy pan. Not for use for my 80 year old mother. But for me yes wold highly recommended.

Non stick? My AR$€
Usually a big fan of Le Creuset but this is a huge dis appointment. Bought this as a direct replacement for a worn out pan. But cannot “fry” anything without it sticking to the pan - believe me even an egg sticks. Total waste of £150.

Disappointed with the pan's performance
I liked the service from the supplier. The pan arrived ahead of time and was well packed. What I am unhappy about is the cooking surface of the pan. I carefully read the instructions and followed them to the letter. I heated the pan on a medium heat with oil and cooked 4 rashers of bacon. They stuck to the surface and I had to soak the pan in soapy water to remove the residue, normal washing had no effect on it. I haven't used the pan since then.I should add that I have had the 28cm version of this pan for the last 3 or 4 years and its surface is perfect, completely non-stick.

Perfect pan!!
I’ve been through many many frying pans that just don’t hold up, and wasted lots of money. This pan retains heat wonderfully, so browns meat perfectly. With regular use and proper cleaning (water only, no soap) the pan develops a non stick coating. When cooking make sure pan is properly up to heat eg 10 mins on medium heat to heat ENTIRE pan up to temp.Feels Indestructible and like it will last a lifetime and looks perfect. Just allow the patina to build up and don’t expect the cooking surface to look perfectly clean. If used and treated properly it should not. Every time you cook on it it gets better

5 stars all the way
Got it in a sale and wow best pan I probably have ever bought. Use it all the time. My daughter also now uses it for everything so big battles in a small kitchen. Cooking with this superb cast iron takes trial and error but once you learn to temper and control the heat it is simply superb. Really wide diameter so perfect for flat fish like the John Dory I recently cooked. Can also do an entire fry up in one pan. Trick is to take it off the heat for residual heat to cook things like eggs. It is superb easy to clean but very heavy for anyone with a disability. It is wonderful basically.

Super expensive but...
This is my most expensive purchase pot/pan just for food cooking by a long way, but for certain foods like fish, it has massively improved my cooking. No longer get uneven cooked food as the heat radiates properly, and stays in the pan for longer. I can slow cook with much reduced heat because of the even heat, so less chance of burnt bits of food. The price is steep, but the cooking has been made better. On the plus side, with the enamel, it doesn't have chemical PTFE or Teflon etc. for its non stick, and no need for "seasoning" like with non-enameled cast iron pots and pans, so easier to live with.

Worth every Penny
I just christened mine with a fry up. I’ve read the previous reviews and I am wondering why people encounter problems. Read the guide, cook with patience. Enjoy! This really is the best pan I ever bought. Mind you, I am waiting to do a “Full English”....

Non-stick?
My first attempt at stir fry was a mess. There was a total absence of “ nonstickness”. Great deal stuck to the bottom which proved impossible to dislodge. I have it soaking currently and this should never have happen to such an iconic and pricy item? I shall try once more tomorrow but then return to sender.
