Once Upon A Time Complete Seasons 1-7 Box Set [DVD] [2018]

This is not the set to get, as with many other reviewers, mine arrived with half the discs loose, and the box considerably dented on the corner of the lid. The cardboard sleeves for each season are flimsy and quite fragile. I can see them looking tatty very quickly, and scratching the discs, they are meant to protect. I understand that it's important to be considerate to the planet, and commend anyone for being Green; however in my mind the cardboard design is not fit for purpose, in this case. The standard plastic cases on the individual seasons are far superior and a greater protection for your purchase. I returned mine because of the state it arrived in, and purchased the blu ray box set of seasons 1-5. They are all in proper blu ray cases with inlays, and then got seasons 6-7 individually, for a total price of around £76 which is a saving of £14 from the cheapest current list price on Amazon for the whole box set on Dvd, not blu ray. That comes with the awful cardboard sleeves. This is my recommended way of purchasing the whole series if you want it. Luckily these sets are available on Amazon, and at the prices mentioned. The show is very imaginative, the transfer on blu ray looks great and certainly it's a good way to escape from everything for a while. Great show, but not this way. I can only recommend it the way I have in this review.

Bought the boxset as I kept hearing this was pretty good and they ain't wrong. Been watching a disc aday I'm only on season 4 and its utterly brilliant, all the main characters from Disney Fairy Tales and Hans Christian Anderson and whoever else wants to show up, characters from Snow White, Pinnoccio, Hansel & Gretal, Frozen, Sleeping Beauty,Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty & the Beast, Mulan etc and I'm only on season 4,It's a bit hard to explain but basically all these characters are trapped in the world of todays future in a town called StoryBrooke. Some bad characters are good and good are bad. ROBERT CARLYLE is just Brilliant as Rumplestiltskin who's my favourite character in this series.

In short, the blu-ray versions look and sound great when put through the home system - reasonably priced as well. However .....The packaging is cheap cardboard inserts, so taking the disks out the package to play them runs the risk of tearing the cardboard holders.The disks themselves are very flimsy, and the slightest fingerprint renders them unusable. I spent ages repeatedly inserting the disk only for it to say "incompatible system". A quick spray and wipe later, and the disks were being recognised.Lastly, I have three portable blu-ray players, (which can connect to the laptop), yet these disks were only recognised on one ...It may be that my equipment is just too new for the disks, but somehow I doubt it.However, I've given 5 stars as the picture quality is excellent (as you would expect from a blu-ray)

Watching at the moment and overral is that the discs are playing only had 2 cases on seperate disc where they paused, but as soon as i tuck them out and cleaned they worked

If you like fantasy adventure and magic with well drawn characters you’ll love this, bindged watched it, enjoyed every minute. Love the way film makers have embraced the grey area, bad can be good or become good, forgiveness and hope for everyone. While some just have to go down.

In lockdown I bought few, this is watchable, and very interesting compare to Angel, or Supernatural...

Once Upon A Time has been one of my favourite shows I've ever watched, the characters, the story, the scenery everything about this show was beautiful :) the character of Regina was the highlight of this show, this is also a fantastic box set to have :) and the box set is a very lovley set too, I strongly recommend this blu ray box set. :)
