While the overall idea for this keychain/small carabiner is a little unusual, it actually works quite well. The body of the carabiner is strong and seems to be solid metal (probably aluminum), with the only moving parts being the reusable match and the clasps. The clasps themselves are fairly strong and can easily hold onto thin materials, like the edge of a pocket. Now, as for the match, one thing has to be clear if you are going to buy this product: this is intended for back-up or emergency use only. The match takes up basically the entire space in the storage cavity, so it realistically only holds as much fuel as the wick will absorb. As the match is fairly small, this means that you will probably only get a few lights out of it before the fuel is burned off, especially considering the poor fuel efficiency of this style of "lighter". So, don't expect to be whipping it out to light stuff all the time. However, since the match features a sturdy o-ring to prevent the fuel from evaporating, it is very well suited for infrequent use. Overall, this little item came as a pleasant surprise, with a unexpectedly good build quality and a highly functional design. The only criticism I can make is that the paint scratches easily and scratching is basically inevitable when you are striking the match on the flint. Also, be aware that since the wick is so small, if you let the fuel burn off, the wick itself will quickly burn away. This isn't a huge problem, as the steel and wick can be removed from the stem of the match, but it still something to aware of.

Amazing product, use it every day. The screws that hold the fluid that are really fine and a pain to put back on. Easy solution is to just fill it from the match entrance. Overall amazing buy.

Item looks great but does not function. Hard/annoying to light. Might as well rub 2 sticks together. Don't buy! Get some matches
