EXCELLENT STORY ABOUT TOLERANCE - IDEAL FOR YOUNGSTERS AGED 3+
This story is fabulous on so many levels. It's about a creature who doesn't quite fit in because of their looks but meets a kindred spirit and then welcomes creatures of all shapes and sizes. As a teacher I'd use this for PSHE.

Lovely
My kids don't have any particular problems at the moment, but they are both different from their school friends as they have two mother tongue languages which are different from their friends' first language and have different cultures from their friends too, so I decided it would be as well to look at how someone different who is unsure of themselves copes with life and this was a lovely taster. I feel my boys have understood that they need to accept the kids who are not exactly the same as everyone else from this and the discussion that arose from it. And also that they will find the right friends eventually. No force feeding of morals, just a lovely tale to be used as a springboard for chatting or left to seep in slowly...

Beautiful story, good seller
Incredible book, tackles the issue of 'being different' in a really understandable way for children, I had one for my eldest daughter years ago and bought this for my youngest daughter recently. The book is great, and would use this seller again.

A stupendous book!
This stupendous book is my life story and is, sadly, the story of so many children still singled out for being different. I adore the story and the central character. This book deserves every award it has received.

Brilliant for primary kids
My little bits 4&6yrs love this book. My eldest thinks he doesn't have any friends despite the teacher telling me he's a popular kid. This book was helpful to bring up the discussion of being different from others but still being able to be friends. Great find!

Fantastic way of teaching PSHE
Love this book. The moral of the story: that we are all different but we can all have friends. Tackles issues of prejudice, bullying, friendship and loneliness but in a way children can relate to.Book was in excellent condition and received the product promptly.
