Does what it says phenomenally well at the perfect price, but instructions are lacking
Pros:-Cheaper than their Dodocase website by $8 plus Prime Shipped-Indeed works great once assembled-Cardboard is pretty tough, I've been using it a few days now-Includes manual and history guide of sorts-Detailed video assembly tutorial on their website is a life saver-It's actually surprisingly comfortable and ergonomic being cardboard-All parts and pieces were included in a neatly stacked case inside the boxCons:-"Kit assembles in under five minutes"...Lies. Perhaps after you've assembled a few dozen, sure. Their own instructional video for the iPhone 5 takes just shy of 30 minutes and took me in excess of an hour between rewinding and watching out for little tidbits of wisdom.-The printed included assembly instructions are absolutely useless, but the video is an enormous help to be fair.Netural:-VR apps still have some ways to come. I've played with a few and most [not all] are just proof of concept type things at the moment, but give it another six months; I see a lot of advancement coming quickly. Also requires taking your phone out of the case to fit properly, but that's a given for the most part.Verdict:If you're curious about all this, it's a no brainer. $17 is a stupendous price for a few hours of fun, then you pawn it off on someone else who wants a go. Even as a stocking stuffer, this is a fun little toy. But I'm waiting for the day comes someone creates one of these out of plastic pre-assembled in the $40 price range. Then and only then, save yourself the hassle of the paper based assembly with these kits and splurge on that instead. Longevity is a concern of mine with it being constructed from cardboard, plastic, double sided tape, and Popsicle sticks, but doesn't seem like it's giving out anytime soon.

Not for iPhone users
I ordered this dodocase version of Google cardboard after reading about it in an aritcle online. I was excited that it was designed to support iOS devices like my iPhone 5s. The viewer itself was easy to assemble, though it took me about three times the given "5 minutes". Most of the instructions were clear, and I'm happy with the result. A bit disappointed in the included "book". It's a pamphlet. Someone made it on an office printer. More disappointing, in the intro to "vr experiences" it reads "for users with a. iOS device, skip to page 17. There is, however no page 17. Page 12 leads to page 30. It seems they simply pulled the intire iOS section (the reason I got the book in the first place) but forgot to edit the references. Comes across as shoddy. iOS users, don't waste your time.

Little bang for the buck
I purchased this for my techy teenage son. He was confused at first, but then after he assembled it and tried it out (using my phone, because his iPhone 6 did not fit), he was very amused but for a short time. So my summary is that it is a cool gadget for the tech-lover, but with low endurance. Perhaps it could be redesigned to fit several phone models.

technically works, but spend a few more dollars and get a better one
This worked, but took a while to put together and didn't fit together very well. I liked that I came the nfc tag, but just wished I spent a little extra to get a better one

Fun for 5 minutes
It works. Don't be fooled about their claimed assembly time. Took me an hour following the video on Youtube. Fun for 5 minutes. There aren't that many videos that work with this.

Hella good product. Very fun.
Git this for one of my boys that wanted to experiment with VR and cardboard. I'm telling you this is the best $7 I've ever spent. They had soo much fun with the YouTube VR videos that i cann hear them having fun feom the other side of the house.

I am not adept at assembling things but I did this with my teenagers and they ended up finishing first then coaching me through
I followed the directions on the Reganarts.com website and had no problems. I am not adept at assembling things but I did this with my teenagers and they ended up finishing first then coaching me through it easily. I also downloaded several apps from the list on the site and it's absolutely incredible. An amazing experience! The experience of Virtual Reality is unlike anything I have experienced before. A challenge but well worth it.Stunning!

Worthless
This thing is stupid, the glue doesn't hold, the metallic touch panel isn't long enough to do what it does and it becomes a exercise in frustration to put together. Maybe if it went together easily it'd be cool but I can't even get past step 7 without requiring 30 hands.

Nervous Breakdown kit
This is incredibly complicated to assemble, even with the poor video on the website. I never succeeded as I lost the will to live after a month. The box actually has the temerity to say it is quickly assembled in 'five minutes' (then how come the professional in the video takes 32 mins??). It's a complete waste of money and has driven me to the edge of despair and frustration.

Sehr spannend!

It is fun to use with my Samsung Galaxy S4
Well, it works. It is fun to use with my Samsung Galaxy S4. However, the instructions state that it takes 5 minutes to assemble .... WRONG! It took me at least 35-40 minutes to put together and I am a small tool mechanic that puts things together with hundreds of parts. Now it would probably take me less time to put it together again, but that ain't going to happen. It is frustrating to assemble even if you have done it before. If you have the time and want to save a couple bucks great, go for it. Otherwise try something that is more solid.

Great intro to VR!
I have to agree with the others. Great product for the low cost. Although this product is advertised as a V1.1, the product really is a V1.2 product. So this product has the new capacitive touch button mechanism rather than the original magnet ring switch. Great because the magnet ring switch mechanism does not work with all phones. Certainly takes a 'few minutes' to put together but worth the effort. The dodocase VR website has a youtube video of how to put the case together for V1.2 version.

An exercise in frustration...
The parts such as the nose bridge don't hold together and the instructions beyond step 5 are unclear. I just pieced it together without bothering with the nose bridge, magnetic shield, and some other parts, and it sort of works with the apps I downloaded from the iOS App store. Getting a fully assembled one now which is, surprisingly, much cheaper!
