Tough to use, not intuitive at all
I was looking forward to getting this radio so I could listen to the freighters going by on Lake St Clair and the St Clair River. I also thought it'd be good for baseball. It was the most frustrating experience ever. The manual was opaque, to say the least, and I found the radio itself to be difficult to use, absolutely not intuitive. In my opinion, just a bad experience, and not at all worth the $200 plus I spent. This experience may be unique to me, but I could not abide the frustration. It went back, and I praise Amazon's return policies. The return was the easiest part of the transaction.

Learning something that new to me is good brain exercise
Received in a timely manner. Well take a lot of time to learn how to fully use this Scanner. Learning something that new to me is good brain exercise. Receiving a radio that can tune in most of the audio broadcast is going to be fun.

Confusing and frustrating user experience
I have had this for a while and I found it infririating and exhausting to use. The unit doesn't do what the manual says it would do. Having multiple presets abbreviated as European countries doesn't help - why are they even there? I spent hours trying to erase a bank of stored channel and thanks to the useless manual it just didn't work. Pure junk and the only time Japanese engineering has failed me.
