Works better than expected
When I read the 2 reviews I was concerned with the one that called it a toy.When I first tried it I had all kinds of problems. Then I checked my 9 voltbattery that had been in a drawer for who knows how long. The battery was bad.When I put a new battery in the little wizard it works great.

This is not a good product. It doesnt find any metal whatsoever. You have to litterally be ON TOP of it to be able to find it. I would not recommend it.

It is very inconsistent. Not sure if the switch is faulty, but I plan to return it. I would not rely on it for detecting nails in wood prior to milling.

i ran it over a nail, not a nail in a board but a nail in my hand, it didnt make a peep. its a piece of junk.

its a toy
just bought this product, the only way it detects a nail is if you actually put it under itthe instruction says overlap the piece of wood you are scanningit would take me about 15 min to do 2x4 6 ft longdon't waste your money.

Worked great for me.
Little Wizard did a fine job for me. Found a few nails and some other hardware, saved me a set of planer blades so it paid for itself first time I used it. I also use it for some walnut logs and removed some nails & other metal, kept me from paying for some teeth repair charges at the sawmill. Make sure to do the fine tuning before you use it if you want it to be sensitive enough.
