Zipbolt Exterior XT Post Anchor 17.800

Be accurate when drilling the post! I did the first one accurately, the second one I went a little off line and it made for a challenge.

These worked great and the posts are very solid. I stressed over how to make sure the holes I drilled were straight and finally just winged it the best I could and it turned out fine. The lag screw threads are very difficult to turn in with a 10mm end wrench so I used an actual lag screw that had threads close to the same size and ran that in and out with an impact and was then able to use the 10 mm to run it in. I also used some thin washers to space the post up on the edge to get the posts square to the deck. Overall very happy with this product.

Hard to use, hard to install, hard to tighten without stripping, have to shim each post if deck has tilt. Will never use again. I am the owner of a tool review website toolnerds.com
