Q: Can I still plug in the receiver with the phone case on?

No! I had to buy an extender for my iPhone 11 bc the receiver won’t fit at all with my case on. I have a slim otter box case

Yes, of course. I use it for interviews and it is very convenient to use.

Q: With case the lighting receiver does not plug fully so it never connects. What extension adapter should I buy so I can use the mic phone case on?

It works well with the case I use on my 13ProMax. Might look at another case possibly.
