My Cats LOVE This
At first taste both of my cats dived into their bowls. My male cat is finicky, while the female eats most anything I give her. Their both happy with the salmon flavors (my cats are not found of chicken, which seems to be the most prevalent flavor for cats). Naturally I choose this brand because of it's commitment to high quality pet foods. With so much new information about the poor health of our pets is largely caused by what we feed them, it becomes clear that paying more for pet food saves me from costly vet bills, not to mention the well being and good health of our beloved pets. I believe this brand is a keeper.

Cats Gobbled it Up
Two of four dry food loving cats give this tails up and two eat some. It looks like stew, with bite-size chunks in dark gravy. One can gave four cats nice portions to accompany dry kibble. This is an occasional treat, not a mainstay.

Cats didn't like this version
Got these when the 5.5 oz cans were out of stock, and the 3 oz cans were a disaster (mostly a disgusting brown water with very little food). Sadly, my cats would not eat this version. I have a cat needing a novel protein and Rabbit seems to be the best for her. It took a lot of trials to not only find the right protein, but a version my cat liked. Sadly The Instinct Rabbit is so often out of stock! FYI Insticts rabbit canned foods (other than their Limited Ingredient version) contains 2 proteins - rabbit and pork, which is perfect for my cat as she seems to have a poultry allergy. Took off one star just because my cats are picky. Advise that you skip the 3 oz metal cans as they were the most disgusting mess I have ever seen.

Only food my cat can eat
I have been feeding this to my cat for over a year. She has miliary disease and I thought perhaps this would help her in case she has a food allergy. I hope they continue to make and stock this. Rabbit seems like a more natural better food for her. Beware as others have noted, they can have extremely stinky poop from this so be prepared. This is an annoyance but not a deal breaker for me, as the box is by an outside door and easily scooped and removed. I consider her health as the most important thing.

Great product in trying times
Instinct seems to be in good supply and is made in the US using plastic and foil containers. I was in a bit of trouble with my 3 cats who only eat Royal Canin (also named Instinctive). Since the minced pieces look similar to Royal Canin I tried this food. I did not mix, I placed equal portions of Instinct and Royal Canin side by side in the cat bowls and all 3 cats went for the new Instinct food, but also finish up Royal Canin. Thank goodness since Royal Canin has been sold out for the last 4 months. Unfortunately, Instinct costs a little bit more but also contains .5 ounces more so pretty much the same per ounce. The cats just get more food. Will have to try the other flavors to give some variety to their diet and have other options for the next shortage. And to all those scalpers who are trying to sell Royal Canin at 4-6x normal price, I hope my cats get to poop in your shoes one day.

Completely rancid inside
First of all, let me say that my kitties LOVE the Instinct minced, especially the rabbit flavored. I typically buy them from the local pet store, but when I went this month, the store was sold out. This is my kitties' favorite food, so I hated for them to go without until the store restocked. So I ordered it online. This review is not for the product itself since they loooove Instinct minced, but rather a review for the product that I received.I opened one of the new cups for their breakfast, and instead of minced rabbit inside, as I'm used to seeing, there was nothing but green mold, bugs, and the smell of vomit. It was the most disgusting experience I've ever had with cat food. I have no idea what must have gone wrong with the packaging, but obviously something went wrong. I checked the sell by date to ensure I wasn't sent a bad batch. The sell by date was still 2 years in the future. I thoroughly washed the cup, trashed it, and opened the next cup. Same result. I've had to throw out the whole batch just to be safe (and this is NOT a cheap product). My kitchen still smells of rancid, moldy vomit despite thorough cleaning of the cups, the sink, and even adding drano and bleach. Horrible experience. Now, who is to say I wouldn't have the same experience if purchased in the store? I don't know. I have yet to experience this when purchasing in the store, so when my first online purchase of this product results in this experience, I believe I'll be waiting for the pet store to restock for now on.If you're interested in this product, definitely try it, but I recommend not purchasing it online since something clearly went wrong with the packing or with the shipment. Interestingly, I saw a few other reviews that reported similar instances, so this isn't an isolated problem. The product itself is phenomenally awesome, but don't buy it online.

My cats LOVE this stuff
I'll start off by saying that I've been feeding my girls Instinct for a few years and they've always been a fan. They've had the canned version & the toppers but never the cups. I decided to mix things up abit and try these. I'm not sure what's different (if anything), but they seem to like this WAY more than the other versions. Maybe it's the texture. I get all the flavors so they have a variety.I will mention one thing though. What's in the cups looks very different from what's pictured. At first I thought maybe it had gone bad or something. In the picture it looks like finely chopped up bits. In the cups, it's basically just "mush" (picture attached to review). But, the girls go wild for it, so I don't worry about it. Just thought I'd mention that.
