I was looking to buy a baby sleep soother for some time - I had been looking for one which specifically was cry-activated, but was finding that they were very expensive or did not have good reviews. So I was delighted to find this one. My son is now a year old but was still waking once or twice every single night and would need to be soothed by me, which had the knock-on effect of disturbing his sister in the next room. I was hoping this product would help him to self-settle.The unit itself is very compact, which is great if you are taking it away with you. It also has a hook attached which means it can be clipped somewhere, although personally we have just been placing it underneath the cot - it is loud enough for him to hear it. The unit has a top which can be twisted - this turns the unit on and also acts as the volume function. The bottom of the unit also twists, this is how you select which of the six sounds you want. It took a couple of nights to learn which sound settled my son the best, but we have found he loves the lullaby - I would imagine the heartbeat and shushing sounds would work better for younger babies.When you twist the top to turn it on, the selected sound plays for 30 minutes. It then comes back on again for 30 minutes when it hears a reasonable level of noise - I noticed from listening through the wall that it didn't come on when he was just turning over in bed, but did come on when he cried - so it's sensitive enough but not too sensitive. I had been worried that it might come on at the slightest noise and wake him up! The unit comes with a charger cable but no plug, so make sure you have a USB plug.So, the big question is, has this helped my son to sleep better? Since settling on the lullaby noise, it has reduced the amount of times I have had to go in to settle him by about 75%. Perhaps it would have been even more successful if we had introduced it to him at an earlier age - but overall I am delighted with how well this product has worked for us.

I have had this little device for a few weeks now and I already can’t live without it. My daughter is obsessed with it. We went from waking every 3 hours to sleeping through the whole night. Her favourite is the waves sound. This has now become part of our bed time routine as she has learnt to turn it on herself. My favourite thing about this device is that it picks up on babies cry’s so when she starts crying the sounds start playing again which means she has learnt to self soothe. And also due to the fact my daughter sleeps in my room I also get to enjoy the relaxing sounds...Amazing product highly recommend this to all parents

We have been impressed by this unit - especially how long its battery lasts on a charge. However, after around 5-6 weeks of use the volume control has broken. It cuts out at lower volumes and now we cannot us it unless it is on loudly - Which kind of defeats the object of using it, when trying to get babies to sleep. I would replace it for the same model, but this is not an option as we have passed the 30 day limit, I think. And paying £21.99 for something that may break again in a month or two seems like too much.

I'd looked at many items before choosing this one. Many people have reported that other "noise makers" don't go loud enough (my hummy is quiet, as is the baby shusher) I'd researched that to work effectively the noise needs to be a fraction louder than baby's cry so it's important it can go to a good volume. This one does! We've never had it anywhere near the loudest option but my little one maybe doesn't have a super loud cry!There are some nice options for the type of noise too. We only use the shusher option but may change to the music as he grows.I'd used a video on YouTube for our shusher but I wanted my phone back on a night.I'm so happy we got this though, it's got an amazing function - it switches off after 30 minutes (the time research suggests it takes for a baby to get into a deep sleep) and it's then noise activated! It switches back on if baby cries! It's not too sensitive so baby can roll over etc. and it stays quiet, it does switch on to murmurs though, which maybe stops the cries before they begin?I'd give it four stars because the first one ordered had possibly been used before (the hanging rope was frayed and it had dirt on it) but it was replaced straight away and it's such a great product - 5 stars!Great value too, bought at about £20, cheaper than some other products which seem to be less effective with fewer functions.Charges using a standard micro charger, it comes with the lead to connect it to a plug. We've used ours for a week now and not had to charge it yet, seems good in that department so far!I'd definitely recommend this product if you have a baby who doesn't settle in silence.

Have looked around for a cry activated white noise/soothing machine for ages, and everything is either massively overpriced or unnecessarily big. This was perfect; super easy to use, perfectly small and the cry activation works perfectly. We tend to use the music sound, which works for us but the 5 other options are equally as soothing. The volume can be adjusted to suit your room size by simply twisting the top. The portability is a brilliant bonus and means you can place in a cot, without worrying about wires. This also gives the flexibility to easily move it between rooms or take on holiday if needed. We have found the run time to be perfect for our baby and we are reassured that if she does cry, it will kick back in, without us needing to stealth our way into the room to switch it back on......Would fully recommend .

Fantastic for creating ambient noise to aid babies (or anyone that struggles to dose off) to sleep! It's small making it great for travel and the battery is easy to recharge but lasts for ages. Theres a great range of sounds, especially love the rain and the noise sensor that restarts the sounds if baby stirs is amazing!

Really like this! Super easy to use. Favourite sound is definitely the shhhhing noise. My bub finds it so calming and saves my voice! Very loud for such a tiny object. The voice sensor is super cool. It’s set on 30 mins and then turns off but when when bub stirs the voice activation turns the noise on again soothing bub.

We are very happy with our purchase of the Smart Baby Soother. The Soother is so compact, we have been able to use it at home and also easily take it with us when we are out and about. The six different sound settings are great too, we have used several of the sounds and our daughter has found them soothing and helpful to get to sleep. The device is so easy to use, is very lightweight and has good volume settings too. I would recommend to any new mum.

Super Gerät. Bin fasziniert von dem kleinen Ding. Akku hällt ewig und auch die verschiedenen Musikspiele sind toll. Wir simd zwar bei einem verblieben aber man probiert ja auch aus :)Fängt sofort wieder an zu spielen wenn der kleine weint. Spielt ca eine.halbe Stunde danach auf Abruf :)Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.

Initially a good product - decent noise to soothe the baby, good battery life, and the way it turned on again when she made a noise was helpful for resettling.However, after a couple of months the volume control became unreliable, and by three months since purchasing it stopped working completely.

Eigentlich eine tolle Erfindung, aber wir haben Pech gehabt. Erstens war da kein Kabel dabei,aber da wollte ich deswegen nicht zurückschicken, da ich ein Kabel Zuhause hatte, welches gepasst hat. Nun hackt das Ding nach ein paar Wochen. Sehr ärgerlich, rausgeschmissenes Geld.

This white noise machine is really good. The only problem was it broke after 1.5 months. Same as what another feedback said. I should’ve listened. I will not repurchase this.

Loved this sound machine until it just stopped working 2 mos after purchasing. We've charged it and it just won't turn back on and not very happy as I have a fussy baby!

It was a great machine until it just suddenly stop working. I was very careful not to drop or damage it in any way but it still fail to last longer than 2 months.
