Easy-to-Install Railing for 1 to 3 Steps
Easy to install, very sturdy, nice looking. Make sure you can locate and get some of the lag screws (provided) into the framing beneath the deck surface.

Good railing. This is our second one.
This is the second one we have bought. Putting the pieces together is a piece of cake. Screwing down the bases is the real work. The first went onto concrete steps and landing; no problem with the right tools. This one went onto wooden deck steps, at the side. The base screw holes are spaced wider than the stair support 2x8, so I added sections of 2x8, next to the support under steps, to double the base support width. Once that was done, screwing the railing bases through the steps was easy, and the result is plenty strong.Note, the posts and top rail are hollow. (This second railing came with plugs in the top rail openings.) After installing, I fill the openings with spray foam filler, and prime and paint the foam to match the railing.

Looks great, a challenge to install in concrete
So I attempted to install this myself. Putting the right sized holes and having the right drill to drive the provided masonry screws in is not at all easy. I probably invested maybe 2 hours trying to figure it out. I will qualify that I am handy but I don't do this type of work. I ended up giving up and having a handyman do it and they took the better part of a day trying to get it into the concrete front porch, so I was vindicated. Too bad it wasn't wood. So I bought this for my elderly visitors b/c our front entrance has a raised porch but no handrail. I've seen many a grandma teeter so this was a definite safety concern. It looks really good but I will say that it's not super solid but you can't expect that for the price. It's all aluminum so it feels a little lightweight and the screws to put the railings in are self-tapping screws, not the most sturdy of methods. It's painted aluminum so the posts will scratch if you're not careful and allow the railing to topple over when you're trying to plan your holes. Luckily a black sharpie will cover up the scratch. Overall, it does the job and represents a good value. It is not easy to install into concrete and the bits specified by the Amazon shopping cart didn't work b/c of the size and they were too short.

Great Looking Railing
Great Looking railing, with nice adjustment points for fitting any step angle. The box included 4 inch long concrete and wood screws for installation in either wood or concrete steps. It even included the Torx bits, which was a nice bonus. You will need a hammer drill for installation into concrete, with a long concrete bit that goes at least 4 to 6 inches deep. Drilling into the concrete is the hardest part, as it shakes alot, due to the long bit. But with a sharp bit, it goes smooth. Very sturdy once finished.

Sturdy and attractive hand rail
For a while I looked for hand rails for our church platform and couldn't decide until I found these. We are very happy with the result and the cost. Thanks.

Looks and Works Great!
This hand railing is stylish and sturdy! Adds a unique yet functional feature to our front porch. We all feel safer having it installed. Easyish to install - not all parts provided when installing on concrete steps and getting the right screw with sleeve to ensure a no-wobble longevity of railing is important!
