From point to shaft, the Widow incorporates many innovative concepts. SPIDER LEG SHAFT (Fixed Point ONLY): Four high tensile strength wires are anchored in an aluminum base and covered with heat shrunk rubber to form a firm hold on the flight. (Please Note: Spider Leg shafts are supplied with fixed point models only, and are NOT recommended for use on movable point darts) LASER POINT: A rough black oxide coating is applied to the point to increase friction and prevent softly thrown darts from falling out. 90/10 Pure Tungsten STYLES: Ringed (Grooved) or Knurled models. BARREL: The most complicated to produce. The manufacturing process begins with a billet of 90/10 pure tungsten. This assures an extremely short and slim barrel for its weight level. The billet is then center-ground and shaped with a slightly front-heavy balance for more consistent dart groupings. After the threads, point cavity and barrel styles are machined, the billet is checked for proper weight. The final stages are three different vapor coatings of titanium carbide and titanium/tantalum nitride. These multi-layered coatings, in black or gold, provide an ultra-hard satin texture for an unparalleled grip. Presented in a Deluxe case with extra flights and shafts. Made in the U.S.A

not worth the money
Gave these to a friend for a 60th birthday... 5/302016 found out that the shafts are falling apart already fancy design however only held up three times using them until they had to be replaced

So natural in the hand
These are pricey, but exceptional darts. Everyone caught up in the spider leg shafts but I used short nylon shafts that come in the package — the cellophane stuff was unneddary. And overkill. But how do my knurled Black Widows fly? With ease and amazing accuracy. It may sound trite, but I simply line them up and throw at my target!!! They sit perfectly in the hand. With my other (expensive). Darts, I was consumed with technicals: my release point, keeping head steady,etc. but with black widows everything comes natural. I highly recommend them!!!

Best balanced darts I've found.
I did not buy these on Amazon. I bought them 20+ years ago. That's right my darts are older than my son. I have replaced the tips on these twice, and gone through countless numbers of shafts and flights (I only use nylon).I have not found a better balanced dart in the 20 yrs since I bought these for $120. I was just checking prices in case I wanted a 2nd set and saw the 2 ⭐ review and decided that was not right. Don't worry about the included shafts, flights, or case. It's all about the darts and balance my friends. I haven't found better ....yet. 20 yrs of looking and counting, what're you waiting for? Click it.

I've played darts for many years and used many brands of darts. The way a dart feels in your fingers is a very personal thing - what I love someone else may hate and vice versa.That said these are by far my favorite darts to play with. I consistently throw better with them. I like the heavier ones at 26 grams. I haven't had a chance to try the 28's but would like to without having to buy a set of these admittedly very expensive darts.
