Excellent, Fast-Acting Thickener...Portable Packets For On The Go...Great For Travel
I suffer from PD, so I have swallowing issues. I have to drink all liquids of a thin nectar consistency. Simply Thick was recommended by my swallowing therapist. It is an excellent product. I purchased the packets so I can easily carry this with me, because I find myself on the go quite frequently. This product is very helpful when I have to take my medications, because I use it to thicken water, and the pills go down much, much easier. It has a faint vanilla taste which I find great for my coffee and for my water. It instantly thickens up fluids and does not get progressively thicker. This product is not available where I live, so my therapist told me to purchase Simply Thick from Amazon. I can get it for a great price, and it will last me for quite awhile. I highly recommend this product for those with PD or for those who have swallowing issues.

Budleigh Approved and Loved
Great for a 14yr old Schnauzer with some neurological changes and was chronically dehydrated. His swallow is fine but he is unable to lap up water and other liquids. So thirsty he tried lapping up our other dogs pee. His skin turgor had no rebound and would stay tented until pushed down. 😞. We began making him Gelatin Budleigh Blocks but also needed something portable for travel and to thicken his mealtime liquids.I had past professional experience m using Simply Thick for humans with excellent results. Thickening dairy, water, coffee, carbonated beverages, juices, tea and many other things. Never had any issues beyond some individuals having mental difficulty adapting to their favorite drink in a different consistency.I looked into the ingredients and didn’t find any unsafe for dogs. Having a large pump and small packets is a game changer for us. Packets are small enough to meet TSA requirements. Toss a few packets in a ziplock baggy with a spoon, you can mix in any bowl or container and it is ready within less than a minute. I thicken liquids for Buddy as needed when we travel, even for a quick meal on a layover. He loves going on errands and traveling. Small packets means no worrying about spoilage, gelatin set times or spills. He makes less of a mess getting liquid everywhere when it is thickened and he loves it. Before Simply Thick he would drip, splash and spill liquid everywhere. Now some clings to his beard and he may dribble a little. A quick beard wipe (if the other dog doesn’t lick him clean first 🙂) and he is happy as can be. That is our goal, a happy dog as long as he can.Without modifications to his liquids, Buddy would probably be having kidney issues and other problems. He no longer tries to drink the other dogs pee 🤢 and his urine is appropriately dilute. Skin turgor is now appropriate. Budleigh tells us if he is thirsty by making a slurpy smacking sound. He used to make that noise almost constantly. Awake and asleep. Now with a good schedule and thickened liquids, that is rare.Reasonable shelf life. My order arrived with a best by date of one year away. Bonus the other dogs never turn up their nose at getting some of Buddy’s Simply Thick thickened items. They line up waiting for theirs also.
