This thing was so well engineered, So simple to install and works flawlessly.I added two 2X2 ED pod lights to the back of my motorcycle for a total of three brake lights. Installed it in the flash mode. There is now no doubt to the people behind me I am motor-braking and slowing.My only negative, I ordered this full price only to get a 20% off coupon two days later from them.The person that invented this is a lifesaver,

I wired and installed exactly per the instructions. It did NOT WORK. I sent pictures of all connections. I sent copies of the wiring diagrams from the Harley Davidson service manual. It was plain to see that it was INSTALLED CORRECTLY. I have copies of ALL the e-mails. I checked and rechecked it with a volt/ohm meter over and over. I have asked for a return label at least twice to no avail. They are mulling it over still....Amazon has to deal with this soon.I want to return the defective unit and have my MONEY RETURNED. IT SHOULD be an easier process.

great safety tool, it detects when you are breaking with the engine and engages the brake lights. I do a lot of engine breaking and it is good for people to know if you speed is going down.The setup is easy. I mounted in 30 mins on a 19 821 Ducati. The tool is mounted as shown in the pics attached by two ties.To install just find the wires that go to the rear brake - 3 in total and plug the tool. Easy and safe.

Installation was a breeze and the rear brake light would activate (as advertised) with engine braking and deceleration. HOWEVER, after a couple of months my speedometer needle would glitch and dip to zero when still going at speed (45 MPH+). The mechanic found out it was indeed interfering with the "CAM network" that controls the indicator lights and was causing issues with the ECU. Yes, they verified that the Modulator was installed correctly. Modulator removed and issue was resolved. I understand it may be very difficult to anticipate any compatibility issues on modern bikes with integrated electronics especially when things work great for a while. I do highly recommend the Smart Brake Modulator for the benefits of safety and simplicity, but it my case, after $80 for the product and $200 for the mechanic's time, unfortunately it's not for my 2018 Triumph Bonneville T120. Please double-check your bikes forums and see if the manufacture of any device can provide a comprehensive, per-make/model compatibility list.

This thing works very well and the support is first class. Because of my experience w/support I order the SmartTurnSignal module as well. It works better than any OEM system I’ve had. I highly recommend both.Just an fyi.. I hooked up a temporary led and ran it to the the handlebar so I could see what was happening. Thanks to a tip from support, I found the sensitive of the brake module could be adjusted by altering its mounting position. The unit is mounted (facing forward) inline with the bike center. It is supposed to be level. But level was too sensitive. Tilting the front up a little decreases the sensitivity - it’s perfect.

needed to make sure that the clips were splicing the wires properly... once done, item works as advertised... will update after 1 month use

I have a 2018 Indian chieftain classic. The website says the module is compatible but after spending two hours of labor ($$) at the Indian dealership I found that it is not compatible. The module Is so sensitive to being level that the slightest tilt causes the lights to flash, even with the bike standing still. Buyer beware… this is a great sounding product that just doesn’t work properly on this bike.

Absolutely a must have!! I Love it!!! I can see people behind me back off when i decel and my brake lights flash. I was careful during mounting to make sure it was level like the instructions indicated. And it worked perfect for me right off the bat. I was expecting to neet to make a minor adjustment or two but got lucky. It works perfect and I feel safer knowing I have it. Buy it, take the time to mount it properly, be ready to make an adjustment or two, and enjoy!! Thank you Smart Turn System for putting this product out! IT will surely save many lives!!!!
