Very sturdy and well made
I was very pleased with this windsock. Obvious quality. I live near an ocean so the wind is variable both direction and speed. I thought it would be nice to have a wind sock so I could just look out the window and see what the wind is doing. I also thought the neighbors would appreciate it.I wanted a real windsock like they have at airports. The bright orange is easy to see. I knew I would have to learn to read the stripes so I would know how hard the wind was blowing. To me that was part of the fun. I even bought a special mast with a spinning ring so the sock could spin freely in the wind.I really really did not want one of the yard decoration kind with butterflies, flowers, and such.I was ready to put this up in the yard but then my wife saw the 30” bright orange thing I was about to install and she said no way.I still wanted a windsock so I bought one with butterflies on it. But I am keeping this orange one. Maybe some day .Sorry for the long sad story. As to the actual review, this is a good product. I can’t say I would buy it again though.

Cannot withstand the Florida sun for a long period

it survived 55mph winds in Wisconsin field
we have it attached with spinning fishing lure to shepards hook so we can see wind direction. It's survived terrible days of gusts to 55mph according to NOAA. Like the reflective stripes

Sturdy
Wellmade windsock that is highly visible in all weather. It holds up well for a few years before becoming tattered

Does NOT hold up in 10-15 MPH wind
In the beginning, I liked the quality of the fabric. But in the last three days, we have had winds 10-15 MPH, and today when I looked out at it, it was just hanging, even tho there was a breeze. At closer inspection, I see that the plastic ring on the intake of the wind sock, is sticking straight out, and not forming the opening. For that to happen, it had to be pretty cheesy to begin with. VERY disappointing, because it was hard to put it up. In the beginning, I liked it well enough to order another, smaller wind sock, for another area of our farm. We only had it for two months. GarbageUPDATE: After I posted my disappointment in this wind sock, I was contacted by CrocSee. Their customer service is much better than I had expected. They offered replacement, refund, or whatever would make me happy. THIS tells me, that they take their reputation seriously, and will probably make adjustments to their product. This stands out in my mind, as a positive! Thank you CrocSee

That the windsock will hold up in super winds.
It was for my son who lives in the country. He wanted to know if the wind was strong or slightly blowing.
